Dear colleagues,

It gives me a great pleasure to inform and congratulate all of you
that our collective efforts to fight the forces in the sector as well
as the Govt. to ensure that the discriminatory, and nugatory Bill on
the rights of persons with disabilities is not passed in its present
form, has at last met with success and the bill has now been referred
to the appropriate Parliamentary committee. It is now high time to
work together to improve the Bill and present, as far as possible, a
common stand in the form of representation under All India Disability
Alliance before the appropriate Parliamentary committee for
improvement in the Bill. I assure you of my best cooperation in the
matter.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

It is a good news to all of us.
We at Snehadeep trust for the disabled Bangalore conducted a seminar on
this very act where in the former supreme court justice mr. M N
Venkatachalliah along with the honourable governor of Karnataka took part.

Also thanks to Rajesh Asudani who came from Nagpur as a speaker.
I wish ultimately a positive out come would come from the parliamentary
committe.

Congrats to everybody who supported our efforts and made it possible
for us to pressurise the government to refer the bill to the standing
committee. Specially, people from JNU, Kirti, pranjal, sharda ,
ashok, mohib, ramesh, amit and avinash who really worked hard. It was
absolutely a team work. These guys spent many sleepless nights. This
victory belongs to all of us. And I hope that we will continue to work
together in this regard, in future also. Efforts and endeavours always
pay off.
