Folks, after having gone through the major sections on the new income tax site, one can conclude that although the new income site cannot be said to be fully compliant with the accessibility standards, there's nothing which cannot be performed independently. I'm still waiting my forms 16 and 16A to be ready so that I can explore all sections. At this time, I can very well say that it might certainly not be an easy job for the ones who are not so advanced in screen reading tools, it can well be managed with certain work arounds. I shall post my next update once I submit my return, which might take about a month or so. Vikas. Not atall sir, the buttons are not labled and also their are many more graphics which are needed to be labled. However, there is an accesibility statement in their website claiming full accessibility to all. Only thing I found that there is no captcha at the login page. afterwards sometimes page don't work and sometimes links are not opening by pressing enter or space bar on it. also their listbox are not accessible. They have also introduced in-built link with floating messages in the web page. I tried to open e-filing for 2021-22, but, could not success.
