Subject: [AI] My opinion On South-Delhi Job Ad
Honorable members,
I am presenting, here, my opinion about this Delhi Job Ad. I fully
agree with the opinions of our honorable members who are more experienced
and who might have seen many more such incidents in their life than me.
Some have said, this is the third time such notice has been posted. I
don't know this because I have been recently enrolled and did not check
my
mail for about two months after I have been subscribed to this list. Only
in the recent times I am taking interest in AI postings.
It is, indeed, a good idea to protest to such things. But protest
should not be for the sake of protest.
In the first place, there is no transparency in this issue. We all
must understand that if there is no transparency in a matter, the results
will also be shady. Gone are the days when people used to simply
compromise in their lives and live quietly. In software industry, for
example, transparency is slowly taking precedence in the form of
open-source packages in preference to close-source packages. If we use a
close-source package we may never know where a particular bug has
occurred. Other technicians may also be helpless as they have no access
to
the code. Java has now became open-source.
Now you may be wondering how that relates to this Ad. I used that as
a metaphor to explain the present issue. Instead of simply saying that
some college in Delhi requires lecturers, he might have clearly explained
the complete details such as the name of the College and the exact nature
of the job. (BTW, the reply of Mr. Mittal is also harsh and vague.)
Coming to recruitment, if they take a competent candidate, then,
there is no problem. If they take an incompetent candidate, they, will be
the sufferers, not we. In the second case also there is no need for us to
bother. We must be committed to what we do and increase our abilities.
Then, no one can stop us from achieving what we want to achieve. If we
have confidence, we can build our own career instead of roaming around
those state-run institutions and wasting our time in petty litigations.
This is, strictly, my own opinion and I never insist upon anyone to
accept it. I also beg pardon from those whose feelings I have hurt by
posting this. I also welcome comments from other readers of this list.
