Re: [AI] Issue with spell checker on Microsoft Word
As Mahesh mentioned, the keystrokes do work at times without ALT being pressed. I have noticed that the keystrokes don't work for Grammar errors unless the focus moves to one of the button controls in the pane. Besides that, sometimes the error is not spoken automatically. Note that I use 2 different software combinations and find the same behaviour: Laptop1: Windows 10 (version 1809 , build 17763.475) Office 2019 (Subscription Version 16.0.11601.20136) JAWS 2019 (March release) Laptop 2: Windows 10 (version 1703) Office 2016 Subscription Version JAWS 2018 (Nov 2018 release) On 5/11/19, Ajay Minocha wrote: > Hi, > > I also run the latest versions of Office and Jaws. Though I often don't use Word, I just checked and verified that spell check dialog works with out any accessibility with the latest version of Jaws including the shortcuts. Hi Amar, Do you have the latest updates installed for Office? Maybe that's the case. However, the keystrokes in question are those of Ms Word and not JAWS. The keystrokes still work correctly in Ms Outlook while composing an email in HTML format. Thanks Vedika, Some keystrokes like I for Ignore, Enter key for Change, etc work. However, G for Ignore All, L for Change All, etc seem to not work. Maybe some alternatives that need be explored. Re: [AI] Issue with spell checker on Microsoft Word
To my surprise, these days Microsoft is itself recommending on using NVDA instead of JAWS for accessibility experience. Perhaps, Microsoft is no longer in colaboration with Freedom Scienctific. - Original Message - From: "Mahesh S. try this: Use short cuts like alt+c alt+i without using 'alt'. just press 'c' 'i' and so on. Vedika On Sun, May 5, 2019 at 1:28 PM Mahesh S.
