Re: [AI] Lecture by Ms Anuradha Mohit for those who are in Delhi

2008-05-04 Thread Subramani L
We often demonstrate our penchant for pulling down one of our own. Why
this? I feel a single individual like Ms Anuradha (or whoever) can only
display their ability to design a plan or a vision for the future. It
would take coordinated effort of a lot of people to bring that plan into
reality. Recently, upon Ms Mohit's suggestion, a musician was in
Bangalore to start work on standardising Braille script for Carnatic
music notations. I feel it's better to stop further postings on this
topic because I don't think any good will come out of arguments. I am
sure the moderator would agree.

anuradha mohit is definitely has gained her popularity through her
merit but unfortunately she has done nothing in nivh, as i know it can
feed all india in books and other supportive measures. people like her
can deliver lecture like a top beurocrat but can not show their

unfortunate part that on one hand the world is moving very fast in all

She has also done the process of establishing of another Braille press

books. Expansion sale services of Braille equipments a lot of

2008-04-29 Thread Piyush Pant
Dear list members,
I totally agree what Dr. Sinha has mentioned in his mail. She is not working
for the welfare of the institute or society but for her own welfare. As far as
my information goes she had been transferring efficient people to other
locations without purpose and harassing them whereas they would have been a
greater productive source to the institute. The production of Braille books and
other materials has also reduced over the time.

Until such selfish people are there, the society cannot progress.

Dear all on the list.
It is very easy and simple to criticize any body or any one. It should be
kept in mind that any body can not treat cancer over night by single dose
even Grate Swami Ramdevji does not claim the same. Soon after she joined the
institute as director she did many things improve the institute and the lot
of the blind. For instance, She organized at the institute and elsewhere
trining courses in the use of technology the help the blind students and
adults. Secondly, She undertook a research project which is in progress to
develop guidelines for ensuring ensuring safe mobility of the blind students
in the buuilt environment. Thirdly she took up the task of revising the
braille maths code to facilitate the learning of maths at higher levels by
blind students. Further more, another project that she iniciated to develop
and standardize a suitable tools to diagnose the learning difficulties of
the blind students. She has also iniciated the process of establishing much
needed braille production facilities in the north-eastern states. Likewise
there are many other new activities which she is introducing in the
institute for the betterment of the blind. It is earnest request to all to
stop criticizing and post her your new ideas. I am sure she is one of those
who would be delighted to gwelcome new and feasible ideas.
