Dear All,

We want to provide you with an update on the progress made over the CCPD

Among these 18 responses, entities like RBI, NHA, and the Indian Navy have
asserted the presence of assistive features on their platforms. However, upon
our inspection, we identified some lingering issues on their websites,
prompting us to request the CCPD to issue orders for rectifying these
persistent problems on their digital interfaces. Further, companies like
Reliance Retail, Sedexo, and Sinhal Udyog have submitted their Equal
Opportunity Policies and have committed to taking steps to ensure that their
websites and applications become accessible.

We are currently in the process of filing rejoinders to each of the responses
received from these service providers. Additionally, we are sending out
reminders to the remaining service providers, urging them to submit their
replies. If they fail to do so, we will be initiating legal actions against
such platforms.

Thank you.

Dear Mission Accessibility team,
Video KYC is also not accessible for the blind customers willing to take credit
cards from Banks like Indus Ind Bank.
Please try to persuade all the Banks to issue credit cards to the visually
handicapped customers without video KYC.
There must be an alternative mechanism in place of video KYC.
Thanks and regards.

Re: [AI] MA Update | Progress on the CCPD Notices to Inaccessible Service Providers

2023-08-25 Thread Pinkesh Tailor
Hi,
there is no end to this requirement. The best thing is to execute the
implementation of law which binds all the body whether public or
private to make physical and digital space accessible to PWDs. CCPD do
not hold any legal implication on these entity, as they are not
empowered to pass verdict and judgement for any positive outcome, and
do not essentially enforce accessibility in its legal framework. There
are many of us who work with various organizations. Have any one of
them successfully by any means of politeness able to achieve
accessibility within their organization in its true spirit? I know one
of the public sector bank who have recently declined CCPD's notice to
identify, and map jobs accordingly to the strengths of visually
impaired employees. Lately, just last week I had attended to the
off-campus online entrance test of Amity university from home itself,
and they have not followed any mandated requirements such as provision
of additional time, exemption to visual or graphical based question
etc. Despite of notifying about the disability during the application
stage only, they were not bonded by any law to provide me with
reasonable accommodation mandated by the RPWD act for equal rights in
education.

Dear Mission Accessibility team,
Video KYC is also not accessible for the blind customers willing to
take credit cards from Banks like Indus Ind Bank.
Please try to persuade all the Banks to issue credit cards to the
visually handicapped customers without video KYC.
There must be an alternative mechanism in place of video KYC.
Thanks and regards.

Subject: [AI] MA Update | Progress on the CCPD Notices to Inaccessible Service
Providers

Dear All,

We want to provide you with an update on the progress made over the CCPD
notices sent to over 70 inaccessible platforms based on the list submitted by
MA. Over the past two months, we have received responses from approximately 18
service providers. These responses include government entities like the
Ministry of Law and Justice, RBI, SEBI, and the National Health Authority
(NHA), as well as private entities such as Reliance Industries, Sodexo,
Network18, Zee Entertainment, and Flo Health UK, among others.

Thank you.

[AI] MA Update | Progress on the CCPD Notices to Inaccessible Service Providers

2023-08-23 Thread Mission Accessibility
Dear All,

We want to provide you with an update on the progress made over the CCPD
notices sent to over 70 inaccessible platforms based on the list submitted
by MA. Over the past two months, we have received responses from
approximately 18 service providers. These responses include government
entities like the Ministry of Law and Justice, RBI, SEBI, and the National
Health Authority (NHA), as well as private entities such as Reliance
Industries, Sodexo, Network18, Zee Entertainment, and Flo Health UK, among
others.

Among these 18 responses, entities like RBI, NHA, and the Indian Navy have
asserted the presence of assistive features on their platforms. However,
upon our inspection, we identified some lingering issues on their websites,
prompting us to request the CCPD to issue orders for rectifying these
persistent problems on their digital interfaces. Further, companies like
Reliance Retail, Sedexo, and Sinhal Udyog have submitted their Equal
Opportunity Policies and have committed to taking steps to ensure that
their websites and applications become accessible.

We are currently in the process of filing rejoinders to each of the
responses received from these service providers. Additionally, we are
sending out reminders to the remaining service providers, urging them to
submit their replies. If they fail to do so, we will be initiating legal
actions against such platforms.

Thank you.
