Re: [AI] Need guidance to stop automatic declaring of caller id for incoming call

Hi
You may consider Talking caller id android app. But in my case even if
I use the third party app, it will be a repetition only. Talkback
can't be stopped any way from announcing the caller id for an incoming
call. I think, this is a feature of Talkback with Android 9.

Thanks and regards,

I think the possible option will be to put the phone in vibration mode
during the official interactions. I'm using android orio and in my
phone there is no anouncement of the caller id. However, there is the
notification incoming call whenever a call comes. For caller ID i'm
using a third party app and that works will in accordance with the
customsetting.

Thanks for the correction.
I couldn't find any difference even after reducing the ringer volume.
I also kept my device under vibrate and tested.
Still I can able to here the caller information with the minimal

Dear All,
Can you please guide how can I stop Talkback from reading aloud the
caller
id automatically whenever there is any incoming call on Nokia 5
2017 model? Rather it will be of great help if it can be made possible
to
make Talkback tell the caller id when I touch the name. Actually if I

can't

stop Talkback from behaving like this, it violates privacy and moreover
disturbs others when I'm in office desk, meeting or in public place.

Though

the accessibility volume is set to a very low level of only 15 - 20
percent,
it is reading out the caller id very loud.

Awaiting your early response,

Thanks and regards,

Hi there,
unfortunately the caller information announcement setting has removed from
the talkback.
Just an Alternative. try keeping the speech volume 20 percent from the
talkback speech setting it may help you.

incoming call

Dear All,
Can you please guide how can I stop Talkback from reading aloud the caller
id automatically whenever there is any incoming call on Nokia 5
2017 model? Rather it will be of great help if it can be made possible to
make Talkback tell the caller id when I touch the name. Actually if I can't
stop Talkback from behaving like this, it violates privacy and moreover
disturbs others when I'm in office desk, meeting or in public place. Though
the accessibility volume is set to a very low level of only 15 - 20 percent,
it is reading out the caller id very loud.

Awaiting your early response,

Thanks and regards,
Sudeshna Bhattacharya
