 Hi List,

It feels great to see that one of my best childhood friend and a roll
model for all, Prateek Agarwal is on his way to success. A name, who
 needs no introduction.
I have been knowing this innovative guy from 5th standard or so, and I
know how much of hard work and efforts he has put in to reach here. It
deserves mention that he has been throughout supported by uncle and
aunty (his parents) right from beginning. I know his family, and
specially his mom has done a lot for him.

In 11th or so, he moved to Delhi for learning basic computer and other
skills, and look, today he is not only a software engineer, but also a
 MD of his own company.

If life has offered us something, then that is our abilities, and
people like him set an example for others, that if one uses his
potential in right direction, then nothing can stop you in life.

A very short story of his success is published in Times Of India,
 Jaipur addition here:

I am waiting for the days when programs will be made on your success
stories, Prateek! I am sure, that others will do such path breaking
things in life by deriving inspiration from him. All congratulatory
messages may please be sent to: prateekagarwa...@gmail.com.

2012-12-06 Thread Chetan Sharma
Hello Varghese,
Here is the story:
Lack of vision no hurdle for this entrepreneur

Shoeb Khan TNN

Jaipur: The inability to see did not deter 20-year-old Prateek Agarwal
from pursuing his childhood dream of opening his own enterprise.
Agarwal, who pursued computer science engineering,is now the CEO of an
IT firm Deadel Softwares floated by him in 2010.Currently,he is
employing 28 people and has offices in Jaipur and Bangalore besides
presence in UK and the US.
Agarwal was born in a traditional business family.I learnt about
business models by hearing family conversations, he said on the
sidelines of a blood donation camp organized at the Press Club a few
days ago.
A product of St Michael School,Subhash Chowk,Agarwal had a keen
interest in mathematics.Despite a shortage of books in Braille,he
managed to score better marks in his senior secondary exams than his
batch mates. His enthusiasm and never-give-up attitude helped him trump
all odds. After Class 12 exams,he appeared for entrance tests at
various engineering colleges but was refused admission on the grounds
of disability.
In the end,NIIT University,Neemrana came to his rescue and admitted
him in the computer science branch of engineering. In his final
year, like other class mates,he too was upbeat about
placements. However,he got a rude shock when he had to face prevailing
prejudices in the corporate sector against the disabled.
After working hard on his application and getting internship
experience at reputed firms, two Forbes 500 companies refused him
job,simply because he was blind.
Stung by the refusal,Agarwal decided to start his own software company
in Jaipur. He worked tirelessly for days meeting potential clients. The
hard work paid off and he started getting assignments.
This year he went to UK on an invitation from his client to share his
success story with other visually impaired.
