Re: [AI] Quregarding Bose Frame Sunglasses
I used these Bose frames for a month or so. I wear glasses so I thought I would fit my power glasses into this frame which would also work as bluetooth headphone to listen talkback voice. However there are some serious issues in these frames. Firstly, its fit, I tried both small and medium sizes, but unfortunately none of them fitted on my face as the width of the glasses is too wide. It gives a look like sunglasses. They dont look natural glasses as the tamples are also oversized as they conceal speakers in them. Secondly, the battery quality, it is miserable. It stays only for few hours with normal use. Its poor battery defeats the purpose of wearing these odd looking glasses. Third, its charging cable is not normal micro USB, it has special magnetic cable which has some serious issue. I couldn't charge my Bose frame more than 50% several times. Fourth, its price point. It comes in the price range of more than 21,000 INR. Therefore I wouldn't recommend purchasing these frames looking its price point and battery quality and odd design. If you want to purchase a good quality headset for the purpose of presentation without covering your ears, go for Aftershokz Trekz Air. They are available in the price range of 12k and are durable as wel. Hi Harish You are correct as the purpose of bose frames headphones is to ensure that you can listen to your surroundings while taking a walk or cycling However on calls, specially FaceTime calls I observed that there is definitely a reduction in the ambient surround sound Regards Aditya Sent from my iPhone > On 04-Feb-2020, at 12:03 PM, Harish Kumar P Kotian > wrote: > > Hi > I guess, it won't block ambient noise, all the same, pl do confirm. > Harish. > > > -Original Message- > From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf > Of Aditya Garg > Sent: 03 February 2020 20:43 > To: 'AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning > the disabled.' > Subject: Re: [AI] Quregarding Bose Frame Sunglasses > > Hi Milan, > > Just like you even I am coming on the list after a long long time. > I have been using the Bose Frames for the past few months and feel glad that > I took the plunge. > > Bose Frames are an excellent piece of technology. These currently come in > three sizes.I have not had a more comfortable and convenient listening > experience.I find no issues with the durability. The voice quality on calls , > especially with face time calls is better than that of apple airpods or > earpods. These are my primary go to earphones for my spoken word consumption > like audio books, podcast , voice over.Though I do not use GPS quite a lot, I > believe that for visually challenged individuals, these are a match made in > heaven for those who use them for Gps.Infact post my getting the frames, > another of my visually challenged friends has got them and using it even more > than me.Also they work equally well with Ios and android. > > Recently, I was travelling from Mumbai on the Express way and for the entire > journey I used my Frames to consume podcasts and calls. The experience was > superb. > > Sometimes, on normal calls I do have an issue but it is very infrequent. Also, > the battery life is a serious letdown. It goes for maximum > 210 minutes on asingle charge. > > There is lots to write and like about Bose frames. However this is a niche > product and definitely not for everyone. > > It totally depends upon the use case scenario. For someone interested only in > music, there are better headphones at this price point. > > If my memory serves me right, Bose does offer a fourteen day or thirty day > return policy.I will highly recommend you to check on the return policy and > then accordingly make an informed decision. > > Regards, > Aditya > > > -Original Message- > From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf > Of Milan > Sent: 3 February, 2020 5:09 PM > To: AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning > the disabled. > Subject: [AI] Quregarding Bose Frame Sunglasses > > Hello Access Indians, > > I hope you all are doing great. > > My name is Milan Mittal and currently I am working as a corporate law adviser > in a law firm . Hi Milan, Just like you even I am coming on the list after a long long time. I have been using the Bose Frames for the past few months and feel glad that I took the plunge. Bose Frames are an excellent piece of technology. These currently come in three sizes.I have not had a more comfortable and convenient listening experience.I find no issues with the durability. The voice quality on calls , especially with face time calls is better than that of apple airpods or earpods. These are my primary go to earphones for my spoken word consumption like audio books, podcast , voice over.Though I do not use GPS quite a lot, I believe that for visually challenged individuals, these are a match made in heaven for those who use them for Gps.Infact post my getting the frames, another of my visually challenged friends has got them and using it even more than me.Also they work equally well with Ios and android. There is lots to write and like about Bose frames. However this is a niche product and definitely not for everyone.
