VitalSource BookShelf is a very good tool to directly access the Epub
file. It can be downloaded  for free from vitalsources's official
website.

And Dr. kochar, i’m sorry-I’ve not read much of African writing beyond a few 
novels and short stories, so I don’t have a lot of material at the moment. But 
if you have something specific in mind, I could give searching for it a shot.
