Re: [AI] Retina pigmentosa treatment possibility

2022-10-30 Thread Ritesh Agarwal
 Hi!

In Spite of the true suggestions and experiences provided in the trail
mail, if you still want to visit any such clinic for treatment/consultation
then I think you should try. You will feel satisfied that at-least you have
given a try, and the worst and the likely possibility (99.99%) will be that
your/your family's money will be wasted.

The harsh truth is that currently there is no treatment in the world which
can cure RP or bring back the lost vision. The sooner anyone accepts this
the better it is for the person.

All the best.

Ritesh Agarwal

Hi,

I spoke to the one which is Mumbai based shared me this link
https://youtu.be/vmSZtIBaxBI
The office assistant told me that for first consultation the charges
are Rs. 1500. They would also conduct a perimetry test if required for
which Rs 3500 would be additional. I have asked them to share me or to
connect me to few RP patients who have been successfully treated by
them, as claimed by them in this video. However the assistant told me
that might not be possible for them to share their personal details,
and recommended me to visit their clinic to talk to the practitioner.

That technology has very limited use-cases. It can restore 5-10% of

Hello everyone,

I have been following research on RP, and through out the world, the

entering the clinical phase. Though there might be a possibility in future,
please don't fall to the claims of any advertisements now. Things do

Re: [AI] Retina pigmentosa treatment possibility

2022-10-24 Thread Harshit Lohia
Hi List Members,
With reference to the queries discussed above, I would like to
submit that interested ones should once consult at RP Centre of
Optholmology, AIMMS, Delhi. If there is any breakthrough regarding any
condition affecting the eye, it will first come there. Besides,
doctors at AIIMS have least incentive in pushing false claims.
However, one should be cautious not to visit private clinics of any
doctor, in case insisted to do so.

Such claims have no verasity. I also heard about one doctor who is
based in MP, but later found him totally unworthy.

Dear Pinkesh,
In my opinion, it is better to keep away from such advertisements. As of
today, there is no treatment for RP anywhere. Apart from the ones you
provided, there are some Ayurvedic doctors and traditional healers at least
in Kerala who claim that they successfully treat RP. I have not heard about
a single person cured by any of them so far.
There are several research going on in various institutes around the world
and let us keep our fingers crossed for a breakthrough.
