bus stops and it only announces major / important bus stations or stop

Re: [AI] Stop announcement in bus

2012-06-18 Thread Mohith B. P.
Sorry I missed to point out the difference.
In Mysore, the anouncement was made for the next stop once bus moves
from the current stop and the anouncement was made for the current
stop when bus stops at the bus stop, but in Bangalore the anouncement
is made only for next stop few times it confuses between the signal
and the exact stop if we are travelling for the first time in the
root.

Re: [AI] Stop announcement in bus

2012-06-18 Thread Ajay Minocha
Hi friends,
In delhi we have a very few orange coloured buses which have this
announcement system enabled. Though I haven't tested it but people say
that it is of some sort of help. However as a global campaign of young
disabled people we on the behalf of young voices have recently dropped
a letter to Delhi Transpoart Corporation to enable this system in all
the city buses.

 Indeed a great NEWS!
Here in the U.S. passengers are required to pull a rope located near
the window to inform the driver or bus operator to inform him/ her
that the approaching stop is requested. Some of you might aware that
we do not have conductors here. Usually, bus announces the approaching
bus stops and it only announces major / important bus stations or stop
points- and in a synthetic male or female voice. Thank you.
