Re: [AI] amis problem

2012-07-23 Thread Prashant Ranjan Verma
Dear Renuka,
Availability of navigation options depends upon the type of book you are
reading and the features provided by the book publishing organization.
If you are reading a audio only book that is a book which contains complete
recording but does not have the complete text then word navigation will not
be available.
Note that most books produced in India are of this type.
On the contrary in text only books or full text full audio books you can
read the text with NVDA or any other screen reader. You will be able to use
all text reading commands of the screen reader such as read next work, next
character, next line and so on.
Most books that you get from Bookshare are full text books and you will be
able to read them with screen reader voice word by word or as you like.
Make sure that you press CTRL + T after opening AMIS to move the focus to
text of the opened book.
Thanks,
Prashant

Hi all,
I have a doubt regarding AMIS. i.e, in amis, I am unable to navigate
through word by word. Only able to navigate through sentence by sentence.
Is there any mistake in the installation of amis? Or, is it so? To be
frank, I don't know the version. Another problem is that, After opening
amis, NVDA is not automatically muted.
expecting the reply from the expert.

I don't think FSReader has this feature where you can check the author,
publisher, number of pages, total duration etc. of the open book.
If you find let me know.
