Or maybe, you could transfer those saved locations to another phone through bluetooth? -Original Message- From: accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of Satguru Sent: Monday, July 23, 2012 4:43 PM To: accessindia@accessindia.org.in Subject: Re: [AI] quary regarding saved location in e5 Hi, The one way could be, connect your phone to PC via Nokia Suite (Not Nokia PC /Ovi Suite) and then syncronize your bookmarks so that you can get them back after formatting the phone. Or, create backup via same application (you might like to backup some selected things and if using Jaws, might need some assistance here but guess, it should work fine with NVDA). Another way could be, using some advance file browser, you may copy the folder where these bookmarks are saved in phone. I don't know much about this and will not be able to guide further on this. May be, rest of our learned members can through more light on this. Satguru ___,__.___ "Life's battle do not always go, to the stronger or faster man. Re: [AI] quary regarding saved location in e5
Hi, In my previous mail I wrote understanding locations as shortcuts to websites but later realised it might be locations in Maps (Favorites) as well. In the latter one, you might like to use the online storage provided by Nokia to backup things. For example, in maps\Favorites, the first option is "Syncronize With Ovi" which puts your data (Locations saved in favorites) on Nokia server. Note that to do this, you would need a Nokia Account. To backup other things along with map locations such as contacts, callender etc., you might like to use "Ovi Sync" available in Menu>Connectivity. This also can't be used without a Nokia Account. Re: [AI] quary regarding saved location in e5
If you are talking about saved landmarks, then it's a very easy thing which I myself used successfully. If your message storage is in memory card and you have to format only phone memory, then do the following. Go to the perticular landmark which you want to save and go to options. select send submenue and press ok on via text message. Some warning will popup. Say ok or yes whatever it maybe. Then the landmark file will appear in your message like a business card. Just save the message in your draft folder that's it. Do the same thing for every land mark. After completeing the format of your device, set the message storage as memory card and go to draft folder again. Open the message where you saved the land mark file. You will see a file with some extention. Press select on it and it will give you the option to save the file. Save it and it will appear in your land mark folder. For any further quairy, please get in touch with me preferably on my cell number.
