Great news, friends. I am extremely happy to report that Webvisum is
up and running again. It's web site is back, and when you launch
Firefox, you should hear the normal welcome message, Alert, you are
logged on to Webvisum. I verified that it works by submitting an
image captcha from a test page, and Webvisum successfully decoded it.
So it is not necessary to locate and modify the Hosts file to get it
to work. Hopefully, Webvisum will continue to function for a long
time to come. But if it ever does go away for good, at least it

Re: [AI] regarding webvisum login

2012-06-21 Thread Shreedhar TS.
Hi, some days back, I was told the webvisum is in severe financial
crises, and apparently it could have stopped its service,? I don't
know much about it. Hopefully, this service will resume and support
the visually impaired community. I hope the webvisum would not die
like solona!

Alert, you are logged on to Webvisum welcome message, I got a server
connection error. So I visited a web page that contains an image
captcha, but when I attempted to submit it to Webvisum for decoding by
pressing Alt-Control-numrow 6, nothing happened. And the solve captcha
option was not available on the context menu either. I visited
www.webvisum.com, and was dismayed by the following message:

NOTICE: This domain name expired on 06/19/2012 and is pending renewal
 or deletion.

This web page is parked FREE, courtesy of GoDaddy.com

I don't know much about Go Daddy, but I think it is a web hosting
service. From the message, it sounds like Webvisum's domain name
expired yesterday, and the Webvisum site is apparently gone. I
certainly hope that this isn't the case, and that this is just a
temporary glitch. But what if Webvisum is really gone for good? Are
we blind users going to be forced to rely on sighted help from now on
to solve image captchas? Or will we have to struggle with
incomprehensible audio captchas that don't work most of the time?
Does anyone know what happened to Webvisum? Thanks.

It seems so, the web visum isn't logging in, and the web page says the
domain has to be renewed. So yes, it seems to be gone, at least for
now.

2010-03-18 Thread sunilsangtani
hi friend,
to get access of webvisum's settings, open the firefox, and wait while
webvisum connects to there servers, then click right click
(application key) and select webvisum submenu, and select preferences,
here you will find several options like general, key binding and etc.
key binding will help you to define the keys to various actions in
webvisum.
