I think you need to push the right-protected notch to clear up the
protection. You will find it on the memory card clip.

Subject: [AI] removing right protection of a memory card

 Dear friends

For a strange reason, my phone memory card, when connected to a pc through
card reader, does not accept any files and is declared to be right
protected. previously, it was not so, and I was able to transfer files to
 it via card reader.

Would anyone please guide me as to how to remove this right protection of
a memory card when interacting with computer? I could not find any such
 option in its properties.

 Urgent help is aappreciated.

Re: [AI] removing right protection of a memory card

2008-02-04 Thread Mamta
Hello sir!
Here are some of the possible solutions do try them!
I am not sure that they will work or not!

In order to paste any data in the MMC card here is what you can do:
1. list of 3 items
. Remove the MMC card from the card reader.
. Insert it again but this time not fully
. After 30 sec just push the card little in so that the card leader LED gets
lit and u can then paste things in it
list end

2. your adaptor for the chip might be locked if you unlock it that should
figure out the problem

3. the mini chip inserts into the larger chip which fits in the card reader.
There is a little slide which locks the mini chip into the larger, leave
that
unlocked and the files will transfer.

4. you can use a program Called XPSecurity 2005c Build 1219. Download the
Software From www.softpedia.com (use their site search).
When you have installed the software! Click the File system Tab on Left and
then the USB Device accessability tab and select Disabled. and apply
If you still get a Device is write protected error when you try to format,
then just do the format again (give a couple of seconds for the policy to be
set)
This Software is not freeware Please register it.

5. un-plug the devise, take out the card! take it off hold for a while and
put it back in!

6. You'll probably find a write protection switch on the side of the card.
Just move the switch to the unlocked position (you probably moved it by
accident).

You may also use the program name un locker!
Do try these solutions!
Actually I do not know that what will work with your memory card and hence
gave so many solutions!
if you need the unlocker program then do let me know and I will send it to
you!

Hope that some solutions works!
many thanks
regards
Mamta.

2008-02-03 Thread Abdul Razique Khan
Hello sir,
Even I was facing this problem with my memmory card. But just now I have
found a solution to this problem. Actually there was a virus named
autorun.ini in my card. This was causing the same problem as u are facing. I
tried 3 to 4 antivirus softwares but failed. Finally, Nod 32 solved my
problem. do scan your card with nod 32. Hopefully your problem will be
solved.
Hope this helps
