2024-06-02 Thread Gaurav
Hello,

You can go to the icon in the start menu, hit the applications key, and
there you will find the more sub menu, assuming that you are on windows11.
There, hit the open file location option, and you can copy paste the
shortcut to the desktop from there using control c, windows m, and control
v.

Hope this helps.

But then will you not be copying the executable file and not the shortcut since
at the file location is the .exe file?

For reasons like this and more I don’t really like Windows 11 much.

if i've understood your concern correctly, I would suggest the following
steps to create shortcut of folders and files that you can access with
ease:
1. get to the real location of the file/ folder;
2. from the right click menu, choose sent to
3. after arrowing a few times, you will see the option to creat shortcut on
desktop.
this is what you need to activate and you'll have all the shortcuts you
want, on the desktop.
hope this helped. good luck.

if i've understood your concern correctly, I would suggest the following steps
to create shortcut of folders and files that you can access with ease:

1. get to the real location of the file/ folder;

2. from the right click menu, choose sent to

3. after arrowing a few times, you will see the option to creat shortcut on
desktop.

this is what you need to activate and you'll have all the shortcuts you want,
on the desktop.

hope this helped. good luck.

Hello,

You can go to the icon in the start menu, hit the applications key, and there
you will find the more sub menu, assuming that you are on windows11. There, hit
the open file location option, and you can copy paste the shortcut to the
desktop from there using control c, windows m, and control v.

Hope this helps.
