I tried the fn keys and using xbacklight as well. I read this :http://askubuntu.com/questions/577539/dell-chromebook-11-unable-to-set-backlight-and-sys-class-backlight-folder-is and hence, am filing the bug. Output of xbacklight -set 20 shows No outputs have backlight property It seems as if the kernel is having difficulty recognizing my brightness. Are there other kernal versions that would solve the issue.
