RFC: depend from Nepomuk2
Hi all, in some branches around (uin nepomuk-core, plasma-mobile, share-like- connect..) there is a working port of all stuff in plasma-active to nepomuk2. it's quite well tested and would be time to merge, however, would mean pa3 will not be able to depend from 4.9, but again needing pieces of master (i personally think is not much avoidable anyways). is ok for everybody to satart to depend from nepomuk2 in plasma-device co? (means also merging the rcgen branch in nepomuk-core) comments? ideas? Cheers, Marco Martin ___ Active mailing list Active@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/active

Well, if moving to nepomuk2 also means better performance I think we should go ahead. -- Lamarque V. Re: Weekly Mer based x86 Plasma Active Images
On Thursday 19 July 2012, Thomas Pfeiffer wrote: Hi Maurice, I'm glad that you're back in the game, even if only with restricted time :) Now to anyone who might help here: There are several problems with the current devel image (2012-07-17-11-09-basyskom-plasma-active-devel-mer-usb-live.iso): - Connman (and ofono) are installed by default, preventing NetworkManager from working. They have to be removed from the default installation - Maliit doesn' work because gconf is not set correctly. The following values need to be changed (just copied the commands needed to change them from one of Marco's mails, this did the trick for me): gconftool-2 --set /maliit/onscreen/enabled --type list --list-type=string [active-keyboard.qml,en_us] gconftool-2 --set /maliit/onscreen/active --type list --list-type=string [active-keyboard.qml,en_us] - Konsole is not installed by default. This is not good for a devel image now (almost of) all those issues are solved. the keyboard starts and the cursor is correctly hidden. for networkmanager: i don't see connman explicitly installed from the kickstart files, neither being pulled by dependencies, somehow shouldn't be here but it is. i now added -connman in the ks to explicitly disable it, let's see in the next image if is enough or still here Cheers, Marco Martin ___ Active mailing list Active@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/active

[Bug 303977] New: Add rotate function to image viewer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=303977 Bug ID: 303977 Severity: wishlist Version: unspecified Priority: NOR Assignee: active@kde.org Summary: Add rotate function to image viewer Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux Reporter: colo...@autistici.org Hardware: Meego/Harmattan Status: UNCONFIRMED Component: Applications Product: Active The image viewer could really use a function to rotate images. Being able to save the rotated picture might be nice, but is not necessary. Rotating the view would be enough. Of course the device can be rotated, but then the image still does not make optimal use of the screen. If possible, this should be done with a rotating gesture with two fingers. Buttons should be used as an alternative on non-multitouch-devices. An alternative solution could be to automatically display images so that they make optimal use of the screen space (i.e. align the long edge of the image to the long edge of the screen). This would save users the effort of having to manually rotate images. Reproducible: Always -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Active mailing list Active@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/active
