That is awesome, as it was a major blocker to make PA work on ARM, for example
the Nexus7 I have here, waiting for a PA install. :)

Rüdiger, where can I find the latest image to install on N7 and instructions?

Thanks

2013-12-02 Thread Hillel Lubman
Those are all still older builds with this bug. More precisely they are
here: http://files.kde.org/plasma/active/4.0/images/nexus7/
Newer builds with the fix weren't published so far.

Hillel.

Ratings in Boderga

2013-12-02 Thread Wolfgang Romey
Ratings seems to be not correct working. When I click on see all ratings for
an asset, which has more then one rating, only the first row has text before
the ":", the other rows not. There is only one rating shown.

They are published, just need to upgrade from the repos after installation.
(Which of course can be a little tricky, but should be easy enough using a
terminal.)

yeah and Ruediger wrote in his last post (the one I linked in my last mail) how
to achieve a network connection from the terminal. After upgrading every
package everything works as expected.

Thanks again for your awesome work (you made my day)

Re: Fixed old problem on ARM builds

2013-12-02 Thread Hillel Lubman
Thanks, that workaround with nmcli worked. Alternatively, one can attach
a USB ethernet card using non standard USB host mode cable. There are
cards which work out of the box with the Linux kernel, such as D-Link
DUB E-100. That can be very useful as a fallback when nothing else works
(though it's good to use it with a powered USB hub, to avoid draining
the battery fast).

Regards,

Hillel.

Re: Polishing PA4

2013-12-02 Thread Wolfgang Romey
I think, it makes sense, to sort the points a little bit:

Things, that can/must be done by the PA-community:
>
> 1.) Syncing contacts and calendar via own cloud does not work anymore (i
> filed a bug report). Both are essential for tablet users.
>
Fixed through the latest update.

2.) I cannot add feeds to the feed-reader. I can copy the feed-url and paste
it in the reader, but pressing OK does not work.

3.) Files should have a way to show only files which are not tagged or show
the tags of already tagged files.

4.) Make games, which are offered via bodega usable.

5.) Files should have a way of creating a file. When you are for example in
documents, it should be possible to start an editor via creating new document.
That`s some kind of task-orientation.

6.) At least one further example of task-orientation should be realized. Maybe
writing and sending a report or something simpler.

Things, that should be done through the KDE-Community
7.) There should be a sketching applikation (which starts via files the same
way as described for documents).

8.) NEW: Make Ksnapshot usable in PA. It can be installed, but I did not find
a way to trigger the screen shot or shut Ksapshot down.

9.) It should be possible to synchronize tags between PA and desktop. It is a
bit frustrating, that one has for example to tag images on the desktop and tag
them again in PA.

10.) Optimize more Appsfor the touch-screen.

11.) Offer Apps, which are not optimized for a touch-screen, but usable
without problems. KStars is one of them. YOu offer Kwrite, wich is not
optimized.

Things, that must be done by others:
12.) Unfortunately playing mpX-media is a must for tablets. This should be
possible on vivaldi.
