Re: Réf:Re: Netware client and backupset
Alain How does the Netware client mount the tape for the backupset restore. Could you please give me an example the restore command you use. In testing I did with backupsets there was no way for a Netware client to do a local restore with a backupset on tape - has something changed recently. I'd be very interested to hear more Greg
Re: FreeBSD Client
I have seeing the beta 3.1 linux client succesfully run backup and restore operations on NetBSD box. However the 3.7 and 4.1 clients will not execute in that environment. Feel free to badger your IBM salesdroid about getting one. Or has anyone successfully ran another client (like SCO) under FreeBSD ? We've been using the SCO v2 client under FreeBSD 3.x and 4.x reasonably successfully although it has a few warts. There is a patch floating around for FreeBSD that will disable (via sysctl) the Linux emulation drive remappings which is what is stopping the linux client being useful. That will cause problems if you are running any other linux binaries on that system though. If you want a copy of the SCO v2 stuff we're using here then email me and I'll mail it to you. (~2Mb). Re: scripts repository
I have been playing around with web based forums etc. Give this one a try: http://nix.itss.auckland.ac.nz/adsm/ Not much eye candy but it seems functional. If there is one then I have some needs, and some hacks that help me that I would throw into the pot. - Kai.
Force removal of email address
All, I have a user I am trying to remove from the list. I have sent all the necessary commands to the listserv, but he is still getting all the email. Anyone know of who I can contact or how I can force remove him ? He's about to leave and I do not want to get the emails to my Administrative account all the time.
