Two sessions running when the Adsm backup schedule run to backup the Exchange db using the AdsmConnect Agent. One is idle and the other one is running (recvW) in the Session State. Any idea? Regards, Zosi Noriega ADNOC, P.O. Box 898 AUH UAE # 9712 6024987
Re: SAP, DB2 and TSM
We are running SAP 40B with db2 6.1 and backing it up with TSM version 3.7 Collins, Brenda Brenda.Collins@WESTTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] GROUP.COM cc: (bcc: MUSTAFA BAYTAR/ATIM/ICECEK) Sent by: ADSM: DistSubject: SAP, DB2 and TSM Stor Manager [EMAIL PROTECTED] U 26.04.2001 17:17 Please respond to ADSM: Dist Stor Manager Is anyone running SAP with DB2 and backing it up with TSM? If so, what versions of software are you using? We have version 7.1 UDB EEE but only backing it up with ADSM 3.1.06. The dba's think that we can not upgrade because SAP has not blessed any new versions and they may run into problems. Unfortunately, they are way out of support with TSM due to the level they choose to remain on. Does anyone know what version of TSM the SAP software recommends? Any help would be appreciated. Re: Windows Nt clients using subfilebackup option
Get your users to archive their directories weekly (I think this can be automated). It will create a 2nd file that will only backed-up once a week. Also blame Microsoft for using a sucky way of storing e-mail data :) Suad -- On Fri, Apr 27, 2001 at 11:46:35AM -0400, Vibhute, Bandu wrote: Adaptive incemental backup is designed for NT/2000/9x clients only. These .PST files (archives from Exchange) grow every day and get full backed-up every day, even for small appends. Does anybody knows if the subfile technique will be usable for Netware clients or is it only for
