How to determine what date a file was deleted from a client

2012-01-05 Thread Moyer, Joni M
Hello everyone,

I was just wondering how I can determine when a file was deleted off of a
particular client and then becomes eligible for deletion from within TSM? For
example, if I have server ALPHA that has directory /p01/data/cmw and a file was
deleted from within this directory 10 days ago and it will delete from tsm in
80 additional days with the parameter version data deleted 90 within the
management class, is there any place that I can see from either the client or
the tsm server concerning when it will be purged from the TSM server?

Just let me know. Thanks!

Hi Matt,

I am not sure I understand the actual problem you are having, but you can
launch the GUI pointing at a different options file.

For example:

tdpexc /tsmoptfile=XDCUserStore6.opt

If I did not address the problem you are having, please clarify.

Thanks,

Del

Lin_tape and persistent naming

2012-01-05 Thread Lee, Gary
Current system:
Suse linux sles9 running under vm 5.4
Lin_tape v1.19.0

I get drivers under /dev/tape/by-id, however these point to /dev/stx instead of
/dev/IBMtapex; where x is sequencial 0-3.

Will the upgrade to the latest lin_tape for sles9 (1.37) give me persistent
naming for the /dev/IBMtapex drivers?
If not, do any of the /dev/stx drivers give the same support?

I will be using these for TSM v5.5.

Thank you for any assistance.

Re: Memory/CPU requirements for TSM 6.2 Storage Agent on AIX

Not sure about CPU, but I may be able to check that tonight with a server
whilst it's backing up, but currenly the memory footprint is small @ approx
60MB
