Stdlist incomplete running Cobol program
Hello everybody. I'm trying to run a job which calls a Cobol program; the job succeeds, but I can't see the part of stdlist concerning the output from Cobol program, while I can see it when I run the program from a command line. LAN-free DB2 backup : low performance
Hi everybody. I'm having a problem running a DB2 LAN-free backup : normally it takes 40 minutes to save about 65 GB, but sometimes it takes more than 1 hour. My TSM server is 4.2.1.11 (Win2K), my storage agent is 4.2.1.11 (AIX 4.3.3. ML9). The funny thing is that the problem disappears when I restart the TSM server. Could anyone suggest me a way to solve this problem ? TIA, Davide Giacomazzi System Engineer Gruppo Assicurativo Arca - Verona - Italy
R: Is there a TSM version that audit vol fix=yes actually fixes so mething?
Mark, I had the same problem a few months ago. What you have to do is to audit the tape, then move its data using move data to another tape. When the tape is completely empty, eject the volume with checkout libv, then run label libv with option checkin=scratch in order to re-read the tape label; you should have that problem anymore. Import node problem
Hi. I'm trying to import several filesystems related to one node from ADSM 3.1.2 (on AIX 4.3.3) to TSM 4.2.1.11 (on Win2K). Exporting data gave me no problem, but TSM can import only a few filesystems; when I try to import one of the others, TSM server falls down with a funny message indicating Session rejected: TCP/IP connection failure. The only thing to do now is to restart TSM server. Is there anybody having an idea ? TIA, Davide Giacomazzi Gruppo Assicurativo Arca

Hi Tomàs, you can find a redbook concerning db2 backup using tsm to the following link : http://publib-b.boulder.ibm.com/Redbooks.nsf/9445fa5b416f6e32852569ae006bb65 f/ca11be93f3ae47b2852569f800819a82?OpenDocument Best regards Davide Giacomazzi Information Technology - TSM manager Tel. Storage Agent and TSM policy set
Hi everybody; I'm running TSM server on Win2K and TSM storage agent on AIX 4.3.3, both updated to release 4.2.1.11. The storage agent starts in quiet mode at boot time, but once a week I have to save production data onto a pool for a caveau site. The problem is that I use a management class called CAVEAUCLASS referred by a pool called CAVEAUPOOL (into which the copy destination is set to a storage pool called CAVPmmddaa) and that I have to stop and start the storage agent once per week. Is there a way to update the policy set on the storage agent automatically ? Thanks in advance, Davide Giacomazzi Gruppo Assicurativo Arca - Verona
