Re: v7.1.8/8.1.2 SSL Upgrade: Rethinking servers first or clients first

In some cases, I have to copy cert256.arm from Spectrum instance directory
and copy to server client to register manually.

TSM 6.3 - Cluster - Windows 2008

2013-06-18 Thread Fernando Florentino
Hi,

I need to setup a TSM 6.3 in a Windows Cluster Environment and my doubt is:

After install the TSM Server 6.3 in the primary node, created the cluster
group, initialized the instance.

Do I need to failover and run the Instance Setup again or just include on
the primary machine the TSM Server Service on resource group?

Thanks,

Check file dsmupgdx.trc located in the c:\program files\tivoli\tsm for
Windows or /opt/tivoli/tsm/server for Aix, Solaris, HP-UX and Linux.

 Hello,

we are testing upgrade to Server 6240.
We are using two Linux boxes, one hosts restore image of Server 5, the
 other has Server 6240.
Doing Method 4: New system, network method.

Load Format on new Server Version 6240.
Then inserted and extracted over network.
 Successful.
But: New Server does not start, complaining
ANR0989E The server database must be inserted or restored before the
 server can be started.

 ?

I opened PMR with IBM, level 1 has given up, level 2 will take some time.

Somebody out with an idea ?

 Yours

 Matthias

Explanation: The server is restarted after the LOADFORMAT command is
run. To start the server, you must upgrade the database by issuing
DSMSERV INSERTDB or else the database needs to be restored using the
 DSMSERV RESTORE DB command.

Hi,

Do you have more info about the crashes?

We udpated our library manager to 6.2, and we have up to 150 storage agent.
