Re: Journaling DB utility - where is it?
You need to look around under patches - client. The utilities are updated whenever the format of the JBB database changes. The latest one that I'm aware of is at: ftp://public.dhe.ibm.com//storage/tivoli-storage-management/patches/client/v6r1/Windows/unsupportedjbbutilities Regards, Hans-Jørgen Bergmann 7. mars 2013 kl. 09:42 skrev Rick Harderwijk rick.harderw...@gmail.com: Hi, I'm trying to see if my journaling is working correctly as far as exclusions are concerned. From the Tivoli Problem Determination Guide I learned there is a utitliy called dbviewb.exe and that I should be able to download it from IBMs software ftp site. I'm not sure where to look, and all obvious directories (to me, at least) yielded no results. Can anyone on the list help me out on this? It will be most appreciated. Kind regards, Rick
Re: Move TSM Database onto new location
Simply copying files is neither recommended nor supported. The correct way to do the migration is from the TSM admin program: 1. Define new db volumes 2. Delete old db volumes TSM will automatically move all data across from the old volumes to the new ones before deleting the old ones. (After the process completes, you have to manually delete the old files from your filesystem - TSM will only delete them from the TSM configuration) best regards Hans-Jørgen Bergmann William Kyndt skrev: Hi, Due to performance issues we wish to move our TSM Database from a SATA Drives Array onto a Fibre Drives Array. Both are setup and visible to our TSM Server. My question is, is it possible to halt TSM copy the database to it's new location and update the TSM server with the new path for the database or would we have to define new volumes and restore the database onto the newly defined volumes? Hope this makes sense. Kind regards, William ** The Miller Group Limited ? Registered in Scotland - SC018135 Miller Homes Limited ?
