ADSM in the nt cluster server

2001-01-09 Thread Javier Muqoz

Hello. I'm running ADSM Server on Unix Server and backing up NT cluster server
with ADSM Client 3.1.0.8. In the NT cluster server we need to install one
service named "ADSM Scheduler" in the two nodes. we install the service in the
nodes.

The problem is that the service "ADSM Scheduler " doesn't run in the cluster and
give the following errors:

01/09/2001 12:24:32 ANS1838E Error opening user specified options file
'd:\software\win32app\adsm\baclient\dsmdiscof.opt' .
01/09/2001 12:24:32 ANS1155E CLUSTERNODE option is set to YES but cluster is not
enabled.
Either the machine does not have cluster server installed, or the cluster
 server is not running.

How can I resovle it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Javier,

Have you tried putting the path within quotes to allow the blanks in it.

Re: Client Acceptor and firewall

2000-11-21 Thread Javier Muqoz

This problem I have resolved it of the following form (Windows NT):

In the file dsm.opt there is an option that is called httpport. The sintax is :

httpport port_number.

I have got to resolve the problem with the firewall. But there is another
problem, The service Remote Control Agent go for other port. At the moment I'm
looking for the solution to this problem.

 Asunto:Client Acceptor and firewall

Hello ,
I am configuring TSM client throught firewall ( CheckPoint ) - I know that
this configuration is unsupported but we
created some rules for B/A a scheduler sessions . What I failed is client
acceptor - it seems that after
http connect to port 1581 client receives java applet + dynamic port number
used by java applet for connection
to client acceptor service . Does somebody know how to set up port used by
client acceptor ?
It seems that there is some communication on port 2370 between applet and
TSM client - any idea ?
Any help in this area will be highly appreciated.

Retrieving files via WEB

2000-11-15 Thread Javier Muqoz

Hello. I'm running ADSM Server on Unix Server and backing up NT with ADSM Client
3.1.0.8. One of our NT servers is a cluster. For retrieving files via WEB in a
node it can be necessary to create a service called "ADSM Client Acceptor" that
hears by a port. We want to fix that port. By default the port is 1581.

How could I resolve it?

Thanks in advance.
