ADSM client 3.1.0.8 (3.1.20.8) seemed to be the culprit.

After having audited and fixed three minor problems (ANR4270E AUDITDB:
Extraneous file data reference found - information will be deleted.)
in the DB (performance was approx.1GB/h), it turned out that the problem
was not server/DB related: Restores still crashed after auditing/fixing.
Next step was installing TSM/DFS client 3.7.2.0. After this the restore
did
not crash but still rejected to restore specific objects with msg
ANR1165E Data-integrity error detected for file in storage pool (0):
usw.usf.

Only deleting the entire filespace and backing it up with the new client
software
enabled a successful restore ...
A pain for managing hundreds of filespaces and GBs!

Dazed and confused,

2000-10-24 Thread Reinhard Mersch

Strange,

I am seeing a similar message during start of the server (3.1.2.57), but
never saw it during a restore. I always contributed it to a problem
we are known to have in our DB. (I could not afford to run the suggested
DUMP/LOAD/AUDIT DB so far.) And, what a coincidence, we are also using
ADSM to backup our DFS (dsmcdfs with VIRTUALMOUNTPOINT definitions) ...

Sorry of beeing not able to supply more help. But, could you please
tell me, if and how you resolved the problem?

ANR9999D asutil.c(218): Pool id 0 not found.

2000-10-23 Thread Horst Scherzer

When I try to restore a (DFS) directory structure (backed up by means of
Virtual Volumes), I get the following error:

10/23/00 09:25:05 ANRD asutil.c(218): Pool id 0 not found.
10/23/00 09:25:05 ANR1165E Data-integrity error detected for file in
storage
pool (0): Node DCEDFS2, Type Backup, File
space
  /.../dce.univie.ac.at/fs/unet/user03, File
name
  /a403/profile/Application Data/Microsoft/
Address
  Book.

Has anyone seen this error before?

SW: AIX 4.3.2+, TSM Server 3.7.3, ADSM Client 3.1.0.8, (dce 2.2.0.6)
