Robert, This has been identified by Tivoli as a password problem within the Novell client. There are some iterations of the password encryption that results in a 0 getting inserted in the string. This creates problems. Try changing your password and see if that helps. I also had this problem. If this does not work try a different password. It's a known problem. It had to do with how the password gets encrypted. If I remember correctly I had to use a password that the first character was a number like 1xyzabc. Robert, Try at dmsc prompt 'q tsa' and or depending on NDS backup or not 'q tsa nds' First remove the tsm.pwd file from ba client directory. Had this problem to, and resolved this this way. Hi to All I had a Netware 5.1 Client Tivoli 4.2.1.29 when I load the dsmc and run q mgm I got: Node Name: NOVADMINEW Please enter your user id I have to type NOVADMINEW to get the information. After quitting and coming back same scenario.
