The function you want is now Client Instrumentation (V 5.1.5 or later
client), enabled with -testflag=instrument:detail (command line) or
testflag instrument:detail (opt file)

Output is written to the dsminstr.report file

My understanding is there's a  server instrumentation new in 5.2

John - I have not seen a v5 edition of the Guide.  There may never be one.

If you go to ibm.com and search on INSTR_CLIENT_DETAIL you'll find an item
describing the disappearance of the option.

Beyond that, you need to pursue exactly *what kind* of Restore is being
performed, which can make enormous difference in performance and throughput,
as seen in various postings where some customers have had some very tough
experiences.  You're probably aware of topic "Restoral performance" in
http://people.bu.edu/rbs/ADSM.QuickFacts listing common issues with restoral
performance, which are too numerous to be worth listing here.

I have a client that is performing a restore with terrible results. Restores
about 200MB in 24 hours. I tried to perform a TRACE and get ANS1823E Invalid
