Jim - The server was upgraded...but was part of the environment left behind?
  Upgrades need to be coordinated among server and clients.

internal server errors

2004-01-20 Thread Jim Kirkman
Greetings,

We migrated this weekend to 5.1.7.3 on zOS 1.4 (from 4.1.4.2)and are
seeing the following behavior on a handful of backups. We also
encountered an internal server error message during our move drmedia
command, although it seemed to process the correct number of volumes.
Any clues or suggestions?

Internal Server errors

2002-11-13 Thread Thach, Kevin
Help, I have a TSM client whose hostname was changed this morning.

I tried to rename the node on the TSM server to the new hostname and got the
following error:

TSM> rename node newkronostest kronostest

ANR0102E admnode.c(2294):  Error 1 inserting row in table "Extended.Attrs"

Ok, so then I tried to delete the node and just re-register it with a new
name (it had no filespaces):

TSM> remove node newkronostest

It let me do that.

Then I tried to re-register it under the new name:

TSM> register node kronostest  contact=xxx  domain=nocodom
compression=no autofsrename=no archdelete=yes backdelete=no forcep=no
type=client keepmp=no maxnummp=2 url=http://kronostest:1581 userid=none
passexp=0

I get this error:

ANR2032E Internal Server Erorr

Server version is 4.2.3 on AIX 4.3.3-09. Any ideas as to what is going on?

By the way,

I tested renaming and registering nodes that were not
kronostest/newkronostest and it let me do that.

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you,
Kevin

Internal server errors

2001-08-02 Thread Thomas Denier

Some time ago I reported seeing internal server errors occasionally
when a particular client system ran backups. Several respondants
recommended upgrading to a newer client level. We recently did so,
but we are still seeing the internal server errors. A typical set
of messages is as follows:

21:03:31 ANRD BFCREATE(1799): Unexpected session descriptor 10a26a80
 for open aggregate, received descriptor 10999d88.
21:03:31 ANRD SSTRANS(580): Unexpected next frame sequence number 2
 - aggregate may already be open.
21:03:31 ANR0530W Transaction failed for session 11036 for node
 IDXANALYZER (WinNT) - internal server error detected.

The client is a Windows NT system which now has 4.1.2.12 TSM client
code. The server runs under OS/390 and is at level 3.7.4.0. Are there
any further suggestions for resolving this without stopping backups
for a few days in order to run audit db?
