Hi Robert, Yes, this is a known requirement and something we are looking at for a future release. Re: TDP for Exchange Question

Mark, With TDP for Exchange 2.2 full policy management was added. That means, it works more like the base backup/archive client in that you do not have to delete old backup versions. Full, Copy, Differential, and DB Copy backups have a common name on the TSM Server which means each backup will replace the previous backup, and force the previous backup to an "inactive" state. At that point, your policy management settings take over on when to "delete" that backup from TSM storage. Incremental backups do get a unique name, but the deletion of those objects is controlled automatically by the next Full backup. You cannot "manually" delete old backups. But, there really shouldn't be a need to. If you have changed the name of a storage group or server name, you can always use the DELETE FILESPACE command to delete all data under a specific filespace if that's what you really want to do. Re: TDP for Exchange Question
You are opening up a whole can of worms with that question. Since this has been discussed in detail many times, take a look at the list archives at www.adsm.org for your answer. -- Joshua S. Restoring a mailbox requires us to restore the entire mail store to a backup server and then recover an individual mailbox. Is there any way to do a bricklevel backup/restore (i.e. an individual mailbox) with this client? If not, is this a future enhancement? Ron Greve SDSU Computing Services
