Re: SV: TSM, Novell and Groupwise, a menage a trois from hell or a polygamous match made in heaven?
Some of my local GroupWise brigade are just using rsync to a linux box (and possibly then backing that box up). They say they're happy with that. SV: TSM, Novell and Groupwise, a menage a trois from hell or a polygamous match made in heaven?
Hi Troy As mentioned by others... you are correct there are no support for GWTSA - there are 3 ways to an supported backup (supported by Novell I mean): - Use a backupprogram with support for GWTSA!!! (... but I guess that's out of the question ;o) ) - Do a "cold" Backup - close/start the GroupWise with the PRE- /POSTSCHEDULE Commands - Use the GWBACKUP and DBCOPY from a workstation to export these files! ... and then there is the unsupported version!!! - do a backup with an OFM (I'll recommend StBernard)... but make sure it's configured correctly! And please do notice that StBernard support NetWare, GroupWise and Tivoli - but neither IBM or Novell supports StBernard! TSM, Novell and Groupwise, a menage a trois from hell or a polygamous match made in heaven?
Hi all, This one is for Netware and groupwise admins. I'm looking at putting TSM servers into some small sites which run Netware servers. Part of the equation is that they run Groupwise post offices as well. I'm not a Novell person, but I've looked at the TSM, Novell and Groupwise documentation and this is how it seems to me.
