Re: TSM 4.1 crashes with ACSLS
The problem is somewhere in TSM 4.1. The server crashes on the "define library" command. We hadn't, at this stage, network-connected the ACSLS server: we were trying to find out whether it would accept "acsid=0" when the manual says the value should be 1-64. There's no sign of the ssi tasks as it never got that far. This is a brand-new server, so I wiped 4.1.1.0 and replaced with 3.7.3.8 - without touching SunOs or even rebooting. Now the "define library" command works - as far as it can without the network connection. The ssi demons start and messages are returned complaining about TCP/IP connection, which is what I would expect. Better than "server shutdown complete" anyway. So 4.1 will be for another day. ACSLS 5.3.0 works fine with SUN2.6 and 2.7 , while installing you get a message saying that ACSLS May Not be supported on SUN 2.7 , But I installed SUN 2.7 and ACSLS on alternative Sun box , tested, works fine.. also dont need restoration of ACSLS database on new sun box , just run audit from acsss prompt.
