TSM 5.1 - 5.2

2006-01-05 Thread Scott, Mark William

Howdy all,
I am getting ready to upgrade my TSM 5.1
environment to TSM 5.2 on Solaris 9. I can source plenty of documents
for Windows and AIX though its proving difficult for Solaris. Can
someone point me in the right direction and maybe any gotchyas would be
appreciated.

Thankyou Mark

Read the README docs that accompany the installation code for 5.1.

Re TSM 5.1 - 5.2 and Solaris 9

2005-06-10 Thread Farren Minns
Hi all TSMers

I am hoping to be getting a new Sun Fire V240 to replace our current E250
TSM backup server. At present our E250 still have Solaris 2.7 as the OS and
I need to move top at least 2.8 in order to upgrade to TSM 5.2.

What I am hoping to do providing the new server is fourth coming (and that
is not yet guaranteed), is install Solaris 2.9 and then recreate the same
TSM environment as on the existing E250 ( so initially running TSM 5.1.6.2
under Solaris 2.9). I will then proceed with the upgrade of TSM 5.1 to 5.2.
So my question is this. Does anyone have any experience on running TSM 5.1
on Solaris 2.9 and is it a supported mix?

Many thanks in advance
