Re: TSM Client 5.2 is compatible with TSM Server 4.2 ?

Q1: Compatibility between ITSM client v5.2 and TSM server v4.2
A1: Officially unsupported. It probably will work but you are on your own
risk.
Comment1: First of all v4.2.2.7 server is very old, out of support, and
may have some problems with System Objects (if you have Windows nodes).
Staying at AIX 4.3.3 you still can upgrade to ITSM v5.1.x server!

Q2: Can v4.2 client work on AIX 5.1
A2: Yes, it can in both 32-bit and 64-bit mode.
Comment2: You can install ITSM client v5.1.x on AIX 5 and this would be a
supported configuration with v4.2 server. It would allow you if the server
is upgraded to ITSM v5.1 or ITSM v5.2 to stay in supported configuration.

Subject:TSM Client 5.2 is compatible with TSM Server 4.2 ?

   Hi everyone!

I will install the TSM Client 5.2 in AIX 5.1 System Operative, so I
am unsure about the compatible between TSM Client 5.2 and TSM Server
4.2.2.7. This means: can TSM Client 5.2 work with TSM Server 4.2.2.7 ?

Now I am running TSM server 4.2.2.7 in other server AIX 4.3.

Other question: Can TSM Client 4.2 can run in AIX 5.1 System
Operative?

I look forward to your reply.
   Thank you.
