Hi Arthur, Ok you backup many data at night. Your TSM Server is 100% CPU loaded during backup. how many concurent sessions have you set (q status). Isn't your server too much stressed at a time ? Have you tuned it (memory, network option, JFS buffers ?) To my knowledge, TSM is multi-threaded and allows the OS to control the thread processing. I am running AIX Ver. 4.3.3 with Tivoli 3.7.4 and it is working just fine. I am running it on an F50 with 2 processors and I have no issues. Don't know about going beyond 2 processors but I would be interested in knowing if this is an issue.
