Tivoli Storage Resource Reporting
Hi, all, I'm running TSM 4.2 on AIX 4.3.3. As we purchased TSM enterprise package, Tivoli sent a bundle of upgrade CDs including 'Tivoli Storage Resource Reporting'. I heard that using this product I can manage disk utilization of all TSM nodes in LAN and SAN also. I'd like to ask advice to anyone who has experience with this product. Thanks. It appears to provide detailed reports on data that is stored on both SAN and LAN based disk volumes (assuming of course that you have a server that either has the volume mounted locally or there is a server locally (and direct) attached to the volume on the other end of the network). It is also fairly easy to install and get started with in terms of gathering information. Understanding all of the reports that are available is a different story. It is probably worth checking out though. At one time it had a $10,000 price tag. However, the data that it collects currently is processed by another package that still costs $10,000.
