A little confused about using AdWords API... Since I am new to web service, after referencing the wsdl file(https://adwords.google.com/ api/adwords/cm/v200909/CampaignService?wsdl) to my visual studio project, and I found the corresponding Reference.cs file in applicaition fold. However, with the new namespace and classes, I couldn't figure out how to send a request like "getAllCampaigns"... AdWords API Re: v2009: difference in keywordtool
Hi, As I mentioned previously, the TargetingIdeaService does not behave exactly the same as the Search-based Keyword Tool in the web interface. I would recommend you run some tests with the service, as I think you will find that you have much more control over the results returned than is available the web interface. Returning synonyms is the default behavior in the API, and the use of the NgramGroupsSearchParameter can be used to require that the seed keyword appear in the results. AdWords API Re: what stands NgramsGroups for?
Hi, I've talked with the engineers that developed this parameter and they have given me the following description: A keyword is assigned to the ngram group with the longest matching substring. Ngram groups are defined as substrings that that appear more than n times in the result set (where n is defined by the AdWords system). An ngram group is like a stem keyword. It is a substring of the keyword that is common to many other keywords. Here are some examples [keyword] => [ngram group] car => car car leasing => car car rental => car rental car rental coupons => car rental The substring "car leasing" is not common enough to have its own ngram group, so it goes in the "car" group. However "car rental" is a very common substring, so it has its own ngram group, which includes "car rental coupons". You can find out the ngram group of a keyword idea by including the requestedAttributeType NGRAM_GROUP. This parameter can be useful when you want to get keyword ideas that are variations on an existing keyword. If you don't use an NgramGroupsSearchParameter the following keyword ideas are returned for the seed keyword "car rental": car rentals rental car car hire cheap hire car airport However, if you include a NgramGroupsSearchParameter with the ngram group "car rental" the results are limited to variations of that keyword: car rental cheap luxury car rental airport car rental cheapest car rental Let me know if you have any other questions. AdWords API One-per-click conversions and Many-per-click conversions
The new Adwords web UI has a Conversion Tracking page, showing all Conversion Action results, and for each Action both One-per-click and Many-per-click results are displayed. Now I can get the Many-per-click results through the ReportService, but I don't see how I can get the One-per-click results. Anyone? If not, will this functionality be added? I've got some users nagging about this, and I'd like to give them some sort of an answer. AdWords API V220909- Category codes
Hi, Where can we get the Keyword category codes with category name mapping for V2009 version ? Also, why do many keywords with obvious categories do not return and category codes ? The % is very large and beats the purpose of having the functionality. Thanks...Shiv -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "AdWords API Forum" group. AdWords API Keywords (Live Ads)
I´m looking for a way to define creative parameters that refer to a keyword (Live Ads). The idea is to have a method to update (for example prices) of an existing adtext. I´m using the adwords-api-6.0.0 for java. Thanks. Sergio. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "AdWords API Forum" group. AdWords API Re: socket write error
Thanks. Rackspace updated the firmware on our firewall to the latest version and I've not seen this error again. I'll reply to this thread if/when I see it again. AdWords API Re: No activation of developers token
Hi AdWords API Advisor There is no problem with my billing info. The AdWords API-center alertboxes say something that roughly translates into: Your developer-information is about to be evaluated. It has never been active - I am waiting for the activation. Best regards Dane -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "AdWords API Forum" group.
