Re: QuotaCheckError.ACCOUNT_INACCESSIBLE

2011-03-30 Thread Anash P. Oommen
Hi Locobee,

You should try to reuse the authTokens. You could set one in the AuthToken
key in app.config, and the client library would reuse it. Otherwise, try
reusing the AdWordsUser instances. An AdWordsUser instance creates new
authTokens every time you create one.

Cheers,
Anash P. Oommen,
AdWords API Advisor.

Hi,

I did, and I opened a request with the Change history team to have this

Re: v201101 CampaignTargetService not returning network target

2011-03-30 Thread Bud Swell
Oops - sorry I missed that. Feel dumb now.

One suggestion for the doco.
It would be nice if there was somewhere with a single list of all the
names you can use in the fields part of the the selector for a given
call. At the moment you gotta navigate around to find them all. (or is
this just me being stupid two days in a row).

Hi Reed,

There is also the fact that the AUTOMATIC_PLACEMENTS report doesn't include
the "Other Domains" value though, and only domains that have over a certain
number of impressions and clicks. Could that be the issue?

Best,

Re: ReportJobStatus For V201101 ?

2011-03-30 Thread mm
Hey Suraj -
Once you have defined your report, then you simply make a request for
the report using the id for the definition... there is no "Is it ready
yet?" polling like before - just request the download.

Cheers -

V201101 AdGroupCriterionService retrieve homogeneous list?

2011-03-30 Thread mm
Hey guys -
I'm working to move to the new V201101 generic selectors, and I'm a
little stumped with how to retrieve just the keywords or placements
from an adgroup. I can get a heterogeneous list of keywords and
placements, but from my reading of the doc, I can't see how to get
only one or the other. Surely I am just missing something!
Suggestions?

Thanks!
Margaret

Re: v201101 CampaignService: SETting Campaign budget amount and deliveryMethod server error

2011-03-30 Thread Eric Koleda
Hi Wilrik,

Yes, the WSDL specifies these fields in a , which means they must
be passed in using the same order. The order in the documentation is also
the same. I'll work with the documentation team to better surface this
information.

Best,

Exactly. I also started facing the same issue where i only receive XML

does not come out and nTotal and nSuccess gets resets to 0. This is really

New Ruby client library

2011-03-30 Thread Sérgio Gomes
Hello Rubyists! I want to let you know that there is a new Ruby client
library  in town!

In order to make it easier to create and maintain Ruby client libraries for
the various Ads products, we've developed the Ruby common framework for Ads
APIs. We've also built a new AdWords API client library on top of this
common framework.

So what benefits does the new framework get you? Here's a short list:
- *SOAP library abstraction.* The code you write is no longer dependent on a
specific SOAP library, so we will be able to migrate away from soap4r in the
future (it's still there for now, sorry!).
- *Newer technologies.* Getting rid of soap4r in future versions will
finally allow us to provide full Ruby 1.9 compatibility. We're also
investigating a move to more modern testing and documentation tools.
- *Ruby-like syntax.* The new client library deals away with all the ugly
camelCase method and property names, replacing them with Ruby-like
snake_case ones instead.
- *Collections instead of generated objects.* As mentioned before, the new
client library provides an added level of abstraction, moving you away from
soap4r-generated objects. These are replaced with native Ruby collections
(hashes and arrays), so that you're not stuck to the soap4r object model,
enabling collection reuse across methods, services, and even API versions.
You will never need any version namespaces hardcoded into your application,
either!

You'll find the google-adwords-api
gemavailable on
rubygems.org and on the brand new codesite project for the Ruby client
libraries, at http://code.google.com/p/google-api-ads-ruby/. Be sure to take
a look at the Readme
before
getting started. Also, don't be afraid of filing any bugs or feature
requests on the issue
tracker
.

Let us know what you think!

Cheers,
- Sérgio Gomes, Ads APIs team

Cross Client DownloadReport.php example ?

2011-03-30 Thread BeUp NL
Does anyone have a working example of DownloadReport.php for Cross
Client usage?

The current v201101 example is not Cross Client (asynchronous) and the
Client Library has to be changed slightly to include the qt token
update in the request url.

I tried myself and I am receiving XML status updates and not JSON
status updates. Furthermore I get a SUCCESS message but the XML report
is never coming.

Thank you for your help.

Re: Sometimes getting JSON response and sometimes getting XML response on request to download a report based on report definition id (v201101)

2011-03-30 Thread BeUp NL

Same thing here, report ID is 28068592. Everything worked fine until a
few days ago. It concerns a Cross Client Report.

I noticed (maybe I didn't see that in the past) that we need to pass
the new QT token to each new request when it concerns a Cross Client
Request (asynchronous). I changed the client library to include the QT
token.

I only receive XML status updates, and the report itself is never
coming. Even when the state changes from RUNNING to SUCCESS...

I don't have a clue... It seems to loop indefinitely...

AdGroupCriterionError.ILLEGAL_URL

2011-03-30 Thread Renaud Beaufils
Hello,

I'm testing adding a NegativeAdGroupCriterion on an adgroup who is
using automatic placement, to disable a placement.
I managed to make it work, however I do get the error :
"AdGroupCriterionError.ILLEGAL_URL" when trying to disable a placement
whose url shows in the adwords interface, the domain in the interface
(adwords.google.com, not my own interface) shown is : "178.32.32".
Doing a quick search on the web, i see there are some syntax rules for
the domains we can exclude from automatic placements, however this is
a valid domain that adwords chooses to display my ads, i'd imagine
there's a way to disable it, just not managing to figure it out.
Code is looking like this:

  $user->LogDefaults();

  // Get the AdGroupCriterionService.
  $adGroupCriterionService = $user-
>GetAdGroupCriterionService('v201008');

//FAKE ID
  $adGroupId = (float) '34242342342';
  $placement = new Placement();
  $placement ->url = '178.32.32';

//FAKE ID
  $placement ->id=(float) '3426346534';
  $negativeAdGroupCriterion = new NegativeAdGroupCriterion();
  $negativeAdGroupCriterion->adGroupId = $adGroupId;
  $negativeAdGroupCriterion->criterion = $placement ;

  $operations = array(
new AdGroupCriterionOperation($negativeAdGroupCriterion, NULL,
'ADD'));
  $result =
$adGroupCriterionService->mutate($operations);

Hi Eric,
Indeed it was made against the sandbox, I forgot to mention that. And you
were right about the order, swapping the amount and deliveryMethod fields
when building the request solved it. Where would I find the correct order
for elements? Is it the order in which they appear in the wsdl? And is this
the same order as the online documentation? Maybe it is worth mentioning
this somewhere. Thanks for the support!
