Re: TrafficEstimatorService
Hi Andy, That's due to Microsoft runtime serializer (the part that generates the .Serializer.dll assembly when you do SGEN) confusing between SoapHeader class in API and System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHeader from the runtime library. There are whole bunch of issues to work around if you choose to work directly with stub classes generated by Visual Studio 2008. See http://code.google.com/p/google-api-adwords-dotnet/wiki/NoClientLibrary for details. I'd recommend using the AdWords API .NET client library instead. It is written in C#, but has code examples in VB.NET too, so migrating the existing code should be straightforward. The code you posted should work with minimal changes with the client library. Hi Howard, Trond, We are currently working through a backlog of developer applications and we apologize for the delay. We hope to review your application within the next week or two, but feel free to check back in with us if you find it is taking longer. CustomerSyncService and changes appear not be updating.
Hello AdWords team. I'm pretty sure this is not just API related and indicative of a larger problem. It appears however that the CustomerSyncService is not picking up changes made to our account 188-622-1478. To make matters more urgent it also appears that the change history within the AdWords website is not displaying changes. For the above mentioned account it would appear the last update was September 1st, however numerous changes have been made since. Looking through a number of other accounts the last change on any of the accounts appeared to be September 6th. Can you please advise on when this issue will be resolved and the extent to which it is effecting different AdWords accounts. Re: Strange behavior (maybe?) in v201101 TrafficEstimatorService
Hi Eric, thanks for getting back to me about this but I still think there's something gone wrong here. I understand that the estimates aren't being generated in a vacuum but it seems that under some circumstances they should be and they aren't. For instance if you had a traffic estimate request generated like so (pardon the pseudo XML) You would expect the results to be generated on the content of each adgroup individually, but instead that request returns the *exact same*values as: This seems pretty counter-intuitive since the end user (me) has specifically designated that each keyword should be estimated in an adgroup by itself. I can provide some XML logs if you need confirmation of this behavior. Re: Help with AuthenticationError.GOOGLE_ACCOUNT_COOKIE_INVALID @ Service[CampaignService.get]
Hi, If you don't provide an authtoken header, but provide username and password, the client library will automatically generate one. Also, the values from App.config and overridden constructor are merged together, which is why things seem to work even when not specifying authToken. To move your code to production, - Comment out the AdWordsApi.Server url in app.config. The calls go to the production environment by default. - The latest version of the library caches AuthToken and retries the calls for GOOGLE_ACCOUNT_COOKIE_INVALID, so you can choose not to set the AuthToken header. But if you want to generate an AuthToken and reuse it, then do this: string authToken = new AuthToken(new AdWordsAppConfig(), "adwords", email, password).GetToken(); - Now use this authToken in your getCredentials method. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help or have more questions, Cheers, Anash P.
