Re: Re: [ReportDefinitionError. CUSTOMER_SERVING_TYPE_REPORT_MISMATCH @ operations]

2011-09-21 Thread Ezequiel Muns
Hello, i'm having a similar problem.

I'm getting the [ReportDefinitionError.CUSTOMER_SERVING_TYPE_REPORT_MISMATCH
@ operations] error when trying to create an ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT on
an MMC AdWords account, but I am definitely posting a clientCustomerId in my
headers.

I am able to create the report fine if I set crossClient to true on the
report definition, but this forces me to use async reports. I'd rather have
synchonous reports and in any case, I only want to report on a specific
client.

So what's the problem?

Cheers,
Ezequiel

Re: Approved AdWords API developer token is now "Rejeted" - PLEASE HELP!

2011-09-21 Thread Fraser Cain
We've been given provisional access to the API as well - we have 7
days to complete the application and fulfill their requirements. We
can explain our current functionality and our development plans, but
there's no way we can fully hook into all the required parts of the
API within a couple of days. It seems kind of hopeless at this point,
but we'll give it our best shot.

If you want to see what we're doing, our application is located at
https://www.keywordstrategy.org

We've also researched all the other data providers out there, so if
anyone wants my recommendations, just drop me an email.

My overall belief is that Adwords doesn't want us to pay for data,
they want us to bring them paying customers who will buy search ads.
So we're going to pivot our offerings to emphasize that ability.
Hopefully we'll demonstrate enough value that they'll keep us around.

Re: Calling the get() for the CampaignService??

2011-09-21 Thread David Torres
The library basically looks for the adwords.properties in the home folder of
the user running the script, so if your are hitting your cgi code through
apache it will most likely be www-data, you can check
in /etc/apache2/envvars

You can also modify the add_campaign.pl code so when constructing
the Google::Ads::AdWords::Client you pass properties_file =>
'THE_PATH_TO_YOUR_FILE'.

Hi there,

Thank you for the response!

Attached you'll find screenshots of the application in development.

We are creating a back office app. which consolidates several e-
commerce sites.
We will use the API to extract some key performance indicators of our
e-commerce sites.
No modification of campaigns through the API.

On a daily basis we will retrieve for each site the following fields:
Adwords total clicks
Adwords search clicks
Adwords content network clicks
Adwords total impressions
Adwords search impressions
Adwords content network impressions
Adwords total CTR
Adwords search CTR
Adwords content network CTR
Adwords total cost

On a hourly basis we will retrieve for each site the following fields:
Adwords total clicks
Adwords total impressions
Adwords total CTR

So simple usage statistics.

We have used the code on http://code.google.com/p/google-api-adwords-php/
We’ve already implemented the Analytics API and finished our Adwords

Thank you for approving this application asap so we can take it into

Hi David,

I'm having trouble getting the changes that I created in adwords online
version . I tried 201101 and 200909 and none can pick up created adgroups or

The accounts I was testing 950-987-5427 and 469-067-7323.
When you talking about mutate calls you mean api mutate calls or include the
usage of adwords.google.com ? Can CustomeSyncService pick online changes ?

I would really appreciate if you check these accounts.

Thanks .

Re: Setting MaxCpc and ad at keyword level

2011-09-21 Thread Kevin Winter
Hi Joseph,
Short answer: no. At the very least it would be two separate API calls
(one to the AdGroupCriterionService for the maxCpc change) and a second to
the AdGroupAdService to create the ad. Furthermore, the only way to
accomplish a specific keyword for a specific ad is to put that keyword and
ad in a single adgroup as the only keyword/ad, which defeats the purpose of
setting a maxCpc on the keyword. The API does not support the use case as
described.

Hi,

I am completely new to the Adwords API and I really need help. I have gone

As said in this link http://code.google.com/apis/adwords/docs/sandbox.html, i
send a get request to the following url https://adwords*-sandbox*
.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201008/CampaignService with the following
request header:
*authToken *got from AuthToken authToken = new AuthToken(email, password);
*developerToken = *emailId++currency
*userAgent = "*any_string*"*
*
*
I am using Java client library and have downloaded adwords-api-8.3.1.tar.

Can anyone please help me where i have went wrong and how to start with it.

Local Monthly Searches / Approximate CPC / Only show ideas closely related to my search terms

2011-09-21 Thread Ricardo Schmidt
Hi!

I'm using API Google Adwords - v201101 (with php) and I've 2 simple
questions. Please, someone could you help me?

1) I am using the TargetingIdeaService. I have been able to use the
API to get most of the results and options provided by the keyword
tool. However, I am unable to add two features: I have to get
'Approximate CPC (Suggested Bid)' and 'Local Monthly Searches'. I can
set both options in Keyword Tool (https://adwords.google.com/o/
Targeting/Explorer) , but I can't get this data in API Google. Which
method do I need use?

2) My other question is about the option "Only show ideas closely
related to my search terms" - check box options seen in the keyword
tool. I need set this in my API. If I want set this option, I have to
use 'IdeaTextMatchesSearchParameter' -
http://code.google.com/apis/adwords/docs/reference/latest/TargetingIdeaService.IdeaTextMatchesSearchParameter.html.
The point is I didn't understand the difference about INCLUDE and
EXCLUDE. How can I set this method like in Keyword Tool ? Do I need
set my keywords in 'Include' or 'Exclude'?

Thanks!

Ricardo

IdeaTextMatchesSearchParameter

2011-09-21 Thread stepanian
I am using the C# client API to get keywords using the
TargetingIdeaService. I am trying to use the
IdeaTextMatchesSearchParameter. It doesn't seem like it is working as
expected. I can only use included terms or excluded terms but not both
of them together. And, even if I use only one, the priorityAction
field has to be set accordingly (INCLUDE with included terms or
EXCLUDE with excluded terms).

My understanding is that you should be able to use both included and
excluded terms together and the priorityAction is supposed to give one
priority in situations where both terms are in the same keyword.

Is this a bug? I am using v201008.
