Oauth2.0 directly generating access token once already allowed access

2013-05-07 Thread Chirag
Hello All,

I am having a system in which multiple accounts can link in order to get
diffrent adwords account details.

I am facing issue with Oauth2.0 authentication.
when first time i am allowing access using Oauth2.0 to access adwords
client information, then system asking me to allow access permission, but
when i tried to link other adwords (client id)account under system for
other clientid with google account already logged In with access permisiion
allowed than it is directly giving me the old account's access token
permission for other account also.

Can we have any other way so that i can directly logout the adwords account
when once allowed access done?

Re: In Placement Performance Report V201302 how can I identify between Automatic placements and managed?

2013-05-07 Thread Takeshi Hagikura (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

My apologies for responding here late.
placement performance report should work as the way managed placement
performance report works except for the difference of the

We're fixing the issue that prevents zero impression rows in placement

oAuth2 GOOGLE_ACCOUNT_COOKIE_INVALID error when requesting campaigns

2013-05-07 Thread Joe Kelly

I have been attempting to connect using the recommended authentication
method: oAuth2, and have been getting errors similar to the issue found
here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/adwords-api/nwGKquvise8

I have been able to get an access token and refresh token, but whenever I
*immediately* attempt to retrieve the user's campaigns I get
the GOOGLE_ACCOUNT_COOKIE_INVALID error. I also had to manually set the
access token in the header otherwise it won't send.

I am using the PHP adwords api client library, and I'm using a local domain
(for the callback) for testing.

Ideas?

Here's a req/resp:

AdGroupService giving wrong results - Help!

2013-05-07 Thread Shruti Habbu
Hi,

I'm getting wrong results when trying to retrieve all the adGroups for a
particular campaign.

- Deleted AdGroups get status as ENABLED
- CampaignID is reported wrongly - getting 0 instead of the actual
campaignId
- Unable to get the start date

I can get a workaround for the campaignID. However, the issue with the
wrong status is more pressing.

Any help?

Thanks!

Re: Bid Modifier in Reports

2013-05-07 Thread Oliver
There is currently no way of doing this. I really hope they add these
fields though as they will simplify things greatly.

Query regarding rate sheet

2013-05-07 Thread Shruti Habbu
Hi,

The Google Adwords API rate sheet
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/ratesheet2mentions that
for a mutate, each mutated item counts as one operation.
The examples show ADD mutate operations. Do REMOVE and SET operations also
count towards the daily operations limit?

Thanks!

Re: DeviceTypeSearchParameter deprecated in v201302? And what alternative?

2013-05-07 Thread Eric Shuman
Hi Kevin,

Some of us are interested in knowing search volume by device not for
suggestions and ad placement but for the sake of understanding patterns in
how people use different devices when searching. Is there any other method
in the new API to get equivalent device type search volume? Are the search
volume numbers affected by settings within a campaign / Ad, for example?

Also, the front end Keyword Tool still allows for Device Type selection,
has it just not caught up with the new API?

We're currently looking to migrate to v201302 from v201206 (using the
.NET client library, if it matters). We'd previously been using the API to
get targeted monthly search volumes for a list of keywords across a set of
regions and devices, and using the DeviceTypeSearchParameter to specify
which device to get the total for.

This parameter type seems to have been removed from the API after v201209
 - compare v201209 SearchParameter
 documentationhttps://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201209/TargetingIdeaService.SearchParameter
  with
 that for
 v201302https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201302/TargetingIdeaService.SearchParameter,

and I've been unable to find any mention of it's removal in the various
sunsetting/migration pages. Has it been removed, or just moved, or renamed?

If it has been removed, can anyone provide advice for what to use
 instead? I've found the Platform
 criterionhttps://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201302/TargetingIdeaService.Criterion,

the enumeration of which would give a suitable breakdown for the search
totals, but I'm not sure how to use this with a Keyword
TargetingIdeaSelector - apparently only Placement requests can retrieve
 the Criterion attribute after
 v201206https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201302/TargetingIdeaService.TargetingIdeaSelector
 .

 Any help much appreciated,
 Joe

Ruby API v201302 - using stored token gives 'unexpected tINTEGER' on :issued_at=

2013-05-07 Thread Jennifer Miles
I had OAuth2 working in offline mode for 201209 (thanks to Danial's help
months ago); however, I am moving to the 201302 version. The new version
has a different format for the generated hash. When I store the hash and
then try to run use_oauth2.rb again, I receive the following error:

use_oauth2.rb:61: syntax error, unexpected tINTEGER, expecting '}'
...RPo, :issued_at=2013-05-07 22:46:30 -0600, :expires_in=36...
... ^
use_oauth2.rb:61: syntax error, unexpected ',', expecting keyword_end
..._at=2013-05-07 22:46:30 -0600, :expires_in=3600, :id_token...
...
The token is stored exactly as it is sent and I have seen several threads
about making sure that it stays the same. Any ideas why this is error'ing
out?

To test this, I am using the following in use_oath2.rb -
token = {:access_token=ya29.AXXX, :refresh_token=1/Bp_XXX,
:issued_at=2013-05-07 22:46:30 -0600, :expires_in=3600, :id_token=nil}
  adwords.authorize({:oauth2_token = token})

The first time I capture the token using the following works fine. I am
verifying the token is identical after running this by just doing a simple
puts token after this line. They look the same. This is driving me crazy.
token = adwords.authorize({:oauth2_verification_code = 4/yRNXXX})

This needs to be done in offline mode. I started with JWT but because I
use an MCC to access multiple client accounts, this apparently does not
work. I moved over to straight offline OAuth2 installed app and in theory
this should work.

Any advice would be appreciated.
