Re: ReportDownloadError.ERROR_GETTING_RESPONSE_FROM_BACKEND

2014-07-09 Thread mgrosso at RepairPal

I have rolled back my workarounds since I can no longer duplicate the issue.

the work arounds I rolled back were limiting reports to 1 campaign and last
30 days instead
of 10 campaigns and ALL_TIME.

I assume someone fixed something internal in the meantime.

Hi Ray,

After a day's investigation, I found the problem is actually on our side.
We have some problem with network configuration. Now the issue is resolved
and we do not see the errors again. Thank you so much for looking into the
issue.

Thanks
Ashley

Hi Christian,

I'll get back to you with a more complete answer, but one issue that
immediately comes to mind with the solution below is that you'll quickly
exceed the limits on the number of ad groups per campaign (currently
20,000).

Hi,

Are you using jaxws by any chance? If so, this may be the same issue

Also, could you let me know which *version* (v201309, v201402, or v201406)
of the API you are using?

Thanks,

The former should be set to the vertical ID from the list of available

create a new Vertical and should not be set in your mutate + ADD request.

If that's not the issue, please pass along the vertical ID you are

We are facing the same kind of issues as yesterday. It worked fine for

Lastly, please verify that there are no long internal firewalls

Re: Type not found: 'bid'

2014-07-09 Thread Ray Tsang (AdWords API Team)
Yaniv,

Because the error message isn't produced from the client library - there is
a possibility that the custom code is either hiding the real issue, or that
it need to be updated to work w/ the new version. The logs did not show
any abnormalities in the API response.

Thanks,

Re: API Adwords и Delphi

2014-07-09 Thread Ray Tsang (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

We don't currently have libraries and/or examples for Delphi. That being
said, there are many examples in other languages that should be fairly
similar. It's recommended that you auto-generate the stubs and objects
from the WSDL rather than constructing the XML request from scratch.

Thanks,

Ray

 Hi,

We are currently using AdWordsApiClient for oauth and calling
 AdWords API.

However just recently, we start seeing frequent failures of Unable
to connect to the remote server.

Sync error: WebExceptionOther ---> System.Net.WebException: Unable
to connect to the remote server --->
 System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A
connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly
respond after a period of time, or established connection failed

Does anyone know what is going on? Why it starts failing

 Thanks!

Re: TargetError.CANNOT_TARGET_PARTNER_SEARCH_NETWORK

Hello David,

This setting can only be enabled for specific accounts. It is not based on
the "type" of account, but the account itself. Essentially, it's on a
white-list basis. We are currently not looking to expand this feature to
more accounts.

Re: An error has occurred: { "error" : "invalid_grant" }

2014-07-09 Thread Michael Cloonan (AdWords API Team)
Hello Abel,

You can find a guide that includes utilities that will help generate the
refresh token for you on our AdWords-specific OAuth 2.0 guide

.

Alternatively, if you would like to generate your own refresh token, you
can look at our more generic guide
,

although this manual process is considerably more difficult.

Mike, AdWords API Team

 Hi Jur,

The SOAP xml looks right to me.

So next, what account did you use in api console to retrieve your

Also did you replace the refresh_token in your auth.ini by the refresh
 token returned in GetRefreshToken.php?

Please take some time to read through the new documentation, and of course

Re: URLs used in ADWORDS API

2014-07-09 Thread Michael Cloonan (AdWords API Team)
Hello,

We do not publish a list of IP addresses that the AdWords API uses.
However, if you can configure your firewall by URL, you should be able to
check what URL you are actually making requests to and ensuring that is on
your whitelist. It should be adwords.google.com.

Ended Campaign in the Adwords UI returns with status Active via the Adwords API

2014-07-09 Thread Jason Stedman
There are really two status fields for a campaign.

Status is not the field you are looking for.try retrieving serving status
through the api.

I can't help with the ui, but at least this should allow you to see the real
state of your campaigns.

See this page for more details:

Re: Type not found: 'bid'

2014-07-09 Thread Yaniv
yes this is the error we get. the code seems fine since it also worked
perfectly in the former version, we encounter it only now when updating to
the new googleads version. up until now it worked fine. since the update it
doesn't work, other modules and codes work fine, and the structure of the
model seems the same, + we do the call exactly according to the structure
as i showed in the printing of the selector with the bid predicate.

 what could be the problem?
i am able to modify bids on the criteria level but im trying to so in

Please provide some directions to generate the access token

Can one remove an offline conversion, or edit its value ?

According to documentation, the SET or REMOVE operations are available:
 (
 https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201309/OfflineConversionFeedService.OfflineConversionFeedOperation),

but trying to use them results in a
 OperatorError.OPERATOR_NOT_SUPPORTED.

The use case: An online store pushes a conversion to AdWords, but 10
days later the client returns the product. We need to either remove the
conversion, or set its value to 0. What are our options, other than
buffering them on client side, and not sending them until the sale is
 'definitive'?

Ended Campaign in the Adwords UI returns with status Active via the Adwords API

2014-07-09 Thread Hunter

We have several campaigns in the UI that have ended within the past few
months, one as far back as December. When I look at them in the UI I see
that they have a status of Enabled not ended, and when we pull the accounts
down to keep our internal database in sync with the UI the campaigns are
returned with a status of Active.

So a couple of questions regarded this:

1) Why is the status of the campaigns listed as enabled even though the
enddate has already come and gone?
2) Assuming that the status of Enabled is correct, why is the status coming
back as Active when we use the CampaignService to pull down the account?

Thanks.
Hunter.

Test account deleted item limits

2014-07-09 Thread aitkul
Hello, I am working with a test account while implementing a software that
uses AdWords API. It is very useful during the development phase, as I can
be sure that no production data is affected.

Now, I would also like to run large integration tests on my test account
which will include many campaigns, ad groups and ads being created and
deleted. I know there are defined limits on e.g. how many campaigns an
account can have, which do not apply to deleted campaigns. The question is,
can I be sure that there are no limits applying to the deleted campaigns?
In other words, can I always delete and forget campaigns, ad groups and ads
on my test account without worrying of hitting any limits?
