Empty criterion report in display campaign

2015-03-02 Thread Christian
Hi,

I already checked the various forum posts about empty criterion reports but
it looks like I have a new problem in context of a specific campaign.

The problematic campaign has impressions and clicks, so my understanding is
that metrics should be attributed to at least one criteria. The criterion
performance report (v201409), however, is empty. We use the following
selector (Python dict notation):

'selector': {
'fields': [
'Date',
'AdGroupId', 'Id',
'Cost', 'Impressions', 'AveragePosition', 'Clicks',
'Conversions', 'ConversionsManyPerClick', 'ConversionValue',
],
'predicates': [
{
'field': 'AdGroupStatus',
'operator': 'IN',
'values': ['ENABLED'],
},
{
'field': 'Status',
'operator': 'IN',
'values': ['ENABLED', 'PAUSED'],
},
],
}

For other accounts this works as expected. Even in the same account on a
similar campaign, the report is not empty and corresponds to metrics in the
AdWords UI.

Some information on the campaign with an empty report: no display keywords,
only automatic placements, targeting by remarketing list and age range.

I can provide the campaign IDs in a private message.

Thanks in avance for your support.

Best regards,
Christian

Re: Adwords Report Api throws INVALID_FIELD_NAME_FOR_REPORT

2015-03-02 Thread Danial Klimkin
Hello Karl,

The error message contains the list of columns that can't be used together:

Trigger: Cannot select a combination of AssistImpressions and
AdFormat,AdGroupCreativeLabelId,AdvertiserExperimentId,ClickType,ConversionCategory,ConversionCategoryName,ConversionTypeId,ConversionTypeName,Device,Domain,EffectiveDestinationUrl,FollowOnConversionType,GuessedCriteriaTypeName,InteractionType,MatchType,MediaId,Slot,SocialAnnotationType,

Type: ReportDefinitionError.INVALID_FIELD_NAME_FOR_REPORT

As you have AssistImpressions in the list, just one column selected from
the second list will trigger this error, e.g.: ClickType.

 I am using version v201409 of the api.
 I get the report columns for KEYWORD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT using
 getReportFields.
 I then try to download the report using a subset of those columns.

 For KEYWORD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT I get the error:

 FieldPath: AssistImpressions, Trigger: Cannot select a combination of
 AssistImpressions and
 AdFormat,AdGroupCreativeLabelId,AdvertiserExperimentId,ClickType,ConversionCategory,ConversionCategoryName,ConversionTypeId,ConversionTypeName,Device,Domain,EffectiveDestinationUrl,FollowOnConversionType,GuessedCriteriaTypeName,InteractionType,MatchType,MediaId,Slot,SocialAnnotationType,

 Some sample code along with my column list which is a subset of the
 KEYWORD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT online is posted below.
 It does not have the columns:

 AdFormat,AdGroupCreativeLabelId,AdvertiserExperimentId,ClickType,ConversionCategory,ConversionCategoryName,ConversionTypeId,ConversionTypeName,Device,Domain,EffectiveDestinationUrl,FollowOnConversionType,GuessedCriteriaTypeName,InteractionType,MatchType,MediaId,Slot,SocialAnnotationType
 What am I missing here?

 The question is: How do I find out a valid set of combinations of columns
 without going through a trial and error process.. Is there any
 documentation which will help me with the same.

 I looked at the columns for KEYWORD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT in
 http://developers.guge.io/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports and exclude
 the colums which the api said were not compatible. Got a similar error.

Hello Sugappriya,

I just received the response. There are difference in the parameters that
can't be fully controlled. E.g. Keyword Planner date range is set to
NEXT_WEEK by default. In the API this value can not be set and defaults to
LAST_WEEK.

We currently don't expect to match keywork planner to TES for many requests.

Re: Unexpectedly getting error faultMessage=[RateExceededError

2015-03-02 Thread Danial Klimkin
Hello Jason,

As per rate sheet, each object mutate is calculated as an operation:

  https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/ratesheet

for offline conversions, each conversion upload is an operation. So if you
upload 497 conversion, it's 497 operations consumed, regardless of success
or failure.

If all of them fail and you keep re-trying, you'll exhaust your quota after
~20 retries.

 Am I asking for a wrong field? I want to see how adwords will represent

 included in Content Network Bid Dimension property.

 Thanks

 We are mostly using the OfflineConversion API, but for testing a specific

 The customerId of the example client we are having challenges with
 getting to work is 5422889389.
 Our API clientId is 185707205179

 Hello,

 This is not possible. Reports can only be run for one account at a time.
 To get results for all your accounts, you will have to make one request per

 hello.

 I wondered how to generate a report type KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
 but contains all adwords accounts not just one.

 To generate the report in the file ads.properties gets:

 api.adwords.clientCustomerId = 760-950-9985

 where only I can access the account of the customer and therefore the
 KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT report is only generated with data from that
 account, and I seek to generate that report containing all accounts.

 Thank you for your attention.
