Re: Default value for activeViewCpmEnabled

2015-04-29 Thread Y Cha
If we continue to use ManualCpmBiddingScheme, are we setting the bid to
vCPM going forward. Will we have alternate bidding type that we can use?
Also, documentation (
https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/3499086?hl=en-US ) implies we
have to use CPM for campaigns with ads targeted for mobile. How do we do
that using the AdWords API?

CUSTOMER_SERVING_TYPE_REPORT_MISMATCH: How can I know what type of report i try to create: single-client report or cross-client report?

2015-04-29 Thread fmvstyle
My application returns an error of "CUSTOMER_SERVING_TYPE_REPORT_MISMATCH".
I read that there are two possible reasons:
1) Attempting to create a cross-client report in a regular (ad serving)
AdWords account.
2) Attempting to create a single-client report in an MCC account.
How can I know what type of report i try to create: single-client report or
cross-client report?
I do request through test MCC account.

Re: Dynamic remarketing for rentals

Hi Tom,

If you would like to keep the same ad, but you would like the price to
change over time, check out a feature called Ad Customizers
. Ad
Customizers allow you to put a placeholder in the ad for price. You can
then dynamically change the price without having the ad reviewed again.

Re: Some questions regarding multiple final URLs

2015-04-29 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi Dorian,

Unfortunately, that's correct. You won't be able to differentiate between a
semicolon that's indicating a new attribute and a semicolon that's
indicating another finalUrl or finalMobileUrl for the current attribute.
I'll raise this with the reporting team to see if we can improve on this,
but in the meantime if you have customers with multiple final URLs or
multiple final mobile URLs you may have to use the *FeedItemService*-based
approach I mentioned.

Thanks,

 Hi Dorian,

AdWords allows multiple final URLs specifically for the use case where
you are *not* including *lpurl* in your tracking template. For
example, if your tracking template is directing traffic to a tracker that
redirects some traffic to one URL and other traffic to another URL, e.g.,
 for a landing page experiment.

If you do have multiple final URLs *and* you are using a tracking
template that includes *lpurl*, AdWords will simply pass the first
final URL for the *lpurl* parameter value. Also, if you have multiple
final URLs and you are *not* using a tracking template at all, AdWords
will simply serve the ads with the first final URL as the destination URL.

Currently, the UI does not support *adding* multiple final URLs,
 although you can *view* addition

Dynamic remarketing for rentals

2015-04-29 Thread Tom Vledder
Hi guys,

I would like to know, how I set up a dynamic remarketing campaign for
rentals.
I currently created a feed and a display campagne. This is active and works
fine.

However the prices of the rentals can change every day.
So the data of the rentals should be updated daily, so customers see the
correct price in the display banners.

Let's say a rental cost $100 for a weekend in the 1st weekend of january.
The price of the same rental is $200 for a weekend in the 1st weekend of
march.

When the the remarketing banner is shown to visitors of the website in
*march*, they should see a price starting from $200 instead of $100,
because that is the *current* lowest price for the rental.

How do I set this up?
I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys.

Regards,
Tom

Re: Some questions regarding multiple final URLs

2015-04-29 Thread Dorian Kind
Hi Josh,

thanks again for your quick reply. To be honest I don't really know whether
there will be a lot of these use cases at our company. We're just in the
process of preparing our tools to handle Upgraded URLs so we will be ready
for the migration in July, and we found the whole topic of multiple final
URLs to be somewhat confusing.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, if I get the following line in a
PLACEHOLDER_FEED_ITEM_REPORT:

Campaign,Attribute Values
Campaign Name,This is the link text; ; This is Line 2; This is Line 3;
http://example.com/url1; http://example.com/url2; http://example.com/url3;
http://tracker.com/tracking-template?param={_custom_var}

then there's basically no way to tell whether http://example.com/url2 is
the *second* FINAL URL or the *first* FINAL MOBILE URL?

Thanks and best regards,
Dorian
