Re: developer token and test account

2015-05-15 Thread Raghavendra Soudala (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

A developer token *is *required to issue API requests against *Test or
Production* accounts. The only difference is that your token should be
*approved* to use it against the Production account, whereas approval is
not required for Test accounts.

To apply for a developer token, you need an MCC account. Steps for signing
up for an MCC and applying for a developer token are outlined in the
following document
.

Cheers,
Raghavendra, AdWords API Team.

Re: Upgraded URL value track parameter for placement Id

Hi Santhosh,

Yes, that's correct. At this time there is no *ValueTrack* parameter that
will capture the ID of the placement, so the approach you mentioned is the
best option.

 Hi,

The service stubs (e.g., *MutateJobServiceInterface*) are not thread
safe. Are you getting a new instance of each stub for each thread? It's OK
to share the *AdWordsServices* instance across threads, but not the
 stubs or the session.

Re: Does Adword Dveloper Test Account has limited access to CustomerService and ManagedCustomerService ?

2015-05-15 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi Jagad MCC,

Simply changing the namespace will not suffice, since the *RequestHeader *still
needs to be from the *mcm* namespace, while other elements are from the *cm*
namespace.
You'll need to use the WSDL for each service to find the proper namespace
for each element (e.g., ManagedCustomerService wsdl

).

Another, *far* easier option would be to use one of our client libraries
. The
client libraries save you from manually generating SOAP XML, so you won't
have to deal with all of the minutiae of constructing messages and can
simply focus on working with objects.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team

Best way to pull data from Adwords with the API using SSIS

2015-05-15 Thread Vanessa van gelder
Hi I have just got approved to use the Adwords API, wondering if anyone has
ever used it to pull into their Data Warehouse before and if they used the
microsoft SSIS product to do this?

Not quite sure which the best way to do this is, I have a BI development
background using SQL but not great on any scripting like c#, however i
realise im probably going to have to use it to set up the connection at
least.

Just wondering if anyone can direct me in the simplest way to get SSIS
pulling data from our adwords account.

thanks

Hey Josh,

I just confirmed and indeed that was the issue. It is all working fine now.

Thanks for the support.

I suspect that the reason for the difference is that the list created

checked, while the list created through the API does not (that option is
 not available in the API).

Dear Josh,

Thank you so much. I took that hint you gave me about the
*MutateJobServiceInterface* and fixed the issue before some hours. Thank
you!

I am working for a big company that has a lot of advertisements in Google

give me your email address so I can contact you sooner and get replies
because now I am experimenting and waiting for answers? Please share your

Re: Parallel operations with AdwordsSession Exception - More than one SoapHeader while invoking public abstract com...SimpleMutateJob

2015-05-15 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

Could you double-check that you are using a *new, separate* instance of
*MutateJobServiceInterface* for *each *thread? The reason I'm asking for
you to check this again is that the *only* way I could get a multithreaded
process to fail with the error you mentioned was if I reused the same
*XXXServiceInterface* instance in multiple threads.

If that doesn't explain the problem, you can send the relevant code
examples *only to me* by clicking *Reply privately to Author* on this
message.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team

Hi,

There are no immediate plans to add API support for additional template ad
IDs. You'll have to use the user interface to make changes to unsupported
template ads.

Thanks,

Product and Service ID returned by Targeting Idea Service does not exist

2015-05-15 Thread jon
Hi,

We are retrieving product and service IDs for keywords from the
TargetingIdeaService. Recently we've seen ID 13494 returned but when I look
up against:
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/productsservices
this id does not exist.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Does Adword Dveloper Test Account has limited access to CustomerService and ManagedCustomerService ?

2015-05-15 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi AF,

The reason that your requests for *ManagedCustomerService* and
*CustomerService* are failing is that you are not using the correct XML
namespace for the *clientCustomerId* and *developerToken* elements in those
requests. You're specifying the namespace of:

https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/*mcm*/v201502

but those elements belong to namespace:

https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/*cm*/v201502

Please use the correct namespace for the SOAP header elements and let me
know if you still encounter issues.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team

developer token and test account

2015-05-15 Thread google-test-api
I want to connect to the Adwords API. I use test account and
googleads-python-lib but I get error:
Server raised fault: '[QuotaCheckError.INVALID_TOKEN_HEADER @ ;
trigger:'ABcdeFGH93KL-NOPQ_STUv']'.
I think what reason in developer token.
Documentation "Test account access does not require an approved developer
token, so you can start experimenting with the AdWords API before your
application is reviewed."
Help me please. I do not need approved developer token or any developer
token?

The problem is, when I create the exe file with cx_freeze, my application

is there any solution to package adwords api using cx_freeze? My setup.py
file is like:

Hello Dan,

As a technical team we are not in position to grant any waivers. The best
approach at this time will be to use the Ad Performance report as Anash
originally suggested.

Re: Parallel operations with AdwordsSession Exception - More than one SoapHeader while invoking public abstract com...SimpleMutateJob

2015-05-15 Thread Biniam Asnake
Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I am sharing *AdWordsServices* but creating one instance of
*MutateJobServiceInterface
*and* AdwordsSession.*

According to my experiment, I have multiple threads which use different
instances of *AdwordsSession. *

Two threads have their own *AdwordsSession* but the two *AdwordsSessions*
have the same *clientCustomerId*.

That's the main issue and that's where the error is being thrown.

*Please reply soon* because I have to decide on the architecture on how to
send like a million CPC changes for our big online advertisement business.

Regards,
