TargetingIdeaService giving error with LocationSearchParameter v201509

2015-10-30 Thread Chirag
Hello Team,

I am using TargetingIdeaService with LocationSearchParameter to get stats
for keywords,
but API is giving me error "An error has occurred:
[TargetingIdeaError.INVALID_SEARCH_PARAMETERS @
selector.searchParameters[0].locations[0];
trigger:'LocationSearchParameter']"

I am getting stats for keywords "CASINO","LIVE DEALER CASINO","SLOT
MACHINES","CASINOS IN LOS ANGELES"
And Location for criteria_id = 1002297 which is for city *Inglewood.*

Does All locations are not supported to get Targeting Ideas?

If is the case how one can identify which location is supported to get
Targeting Ideas?

Thanks,

Re: Best way to filter out Video type campaigns from Criteria Report

2015-10-30 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

One way to work around this would be to first issue a
CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT and include AdvertisingChannelType

 and
*CampaignId* in the request. You could then use a *CampaignId NOT IN
[videoCampaignId1, videoCampaignId2, ...]* clause in other reports to
exclude video campaigns.

Cheers,
Josh, AdWords API Team

We also see this error when creating concrete product partitions with case

Just a quick note: this would be useful in all reports. Sometimes you for

Video when you're requesting Gender performance, Geo performance or any
other report type for that matter.. ;)

Invalid enum value "VIDEO" on Campaign performance report

2015-10-30 Thread Tiana S.
Using the following query:

SELECT+CampaignId,CampaignName,CampaignId,AdvertisingChannelType+
FROM+CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT+
WHERE+AdvertisingChannelType IN ["SEARCH","DISPLAY","SHOPPING","VIDEO"]

I get the following error returned:

  SelectorError.INVALID_PREDICATE_ENUM_VALUE
  VIDEO
  selector

I ran this query a couple of days ago and everything worked fine then (no
errors and all campaigns correctly returned). The documentation of the Campaign
performance report

also states "VIDEO" is a valid enum value for AdvertisingChannelType.

Re: API will not allow upload of ads with "Blaze"

Hi,

Unfortunately, you will not be able to make an exemption request for this
particular ad using the API. My best suggestion would be to reach out to
your account manager (if you have one) or explain your case in the AdWords
Community Forum . If all goes well,
they may mark it as exemptable so that they can do a manual review later on.

Discrepancy in Google Adwords reach and the total reach from Geotargeting API

2015-10-30 Thread Jerry Young
Is there anyone who can explain this to me?

I'm trying to create a formula to target X% of Adwords reach in a given
state, radius, or country. So we'll take US for example. The reach for the
US in Adwords is 185,000,000. However, when I downloaded the list of actual
geographic target options
from https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/geotargeting
and filter so there are only cities, find the reach for each individual
city, then sum the total reach for all cities in the US, the discrepancy is
crazy. It's 897,801,000 for the total reach of Adwords when the reach of
every city is summed. I'm trying to understand what the reason for this is.

OfflineConversion - How can I access to faults ?

2015-10-30 Thread antonio . fernandez

Hi all,

Is there a way to obtain the reasons why an offline conversion upload
fails, for example TOO_RECENT_CLICK or UNAUTHORIZED_USER

I have SOAP body responses like following :

soap:Server
[OfflineConversionError.UNAUTHORIZED_USER @
operations[0].operand]

https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201509;>
[OfflineConversionError.UNAUTHORIZED_USER @
operations[0].operand]

ApiException
http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance;
xsi:type="OfflineConversionError">
operations[0].operand

OfflineConversionError.UNAUTHORIZED_USER

OfflineConversionError
UNAUTHORIZED_USER

I´m using the reference example for upload offline conversions :

OfflineConversionFeedReturnValue offlineConversionReturnValue =
offlineConversionFeedService.mutate(new OfflineConversionFeedOperation[]
{offlineConversionOperation});

But when there is an exception this object is null, so I have no idea how
to access to the errors.

Thanks in advance,
Antonio

Hi,

That information is not available in the API in v201509. You can still get
the overall qualityScore
,

however.

Thanks,

AWQL query stopped working for one specific date range

2015-10-30 Thread Oliver
The below query used to work fine until recently. We now get

ERROR_GETTING_RESPONSE_FROM_BACKEND

only when using a date range of *LAST_30_DAYS*. All other date ranges
(including custom ones) work well.

SELECT
ExternalCustomerId, AdGroupId, Id, AveragePageviews, AverageTimeOnSite,
BounceRate, ClickAssistedConversions,
ClickAssistedConversionsOverLastClickConversions,
ClickAssistedConversionValue, ImpressionAssistedConversions,
ImpressionAssistedConversionsOverLastClickConversions,
ImpressionAssistedConversionValue, ViewThroughConversions
FROM
AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
WHERE
Id IN [56212004903, 31951348823] AND AdGroupId IN [9865227263]
DURING LAST_30_DAYS

Any ideas why it stopped working?

Suspicious behaviour of BatchJob service when AdGroup was removed

2015-10-30 Thread Mariusz

Hi all,

I noticed rather suspicious behaviour of BatchJob service when it comes to
operations on removed AdGroups. The case scenario is updating
BiddableAdGroupCriterion with new CpcBid for a keyword in removed AdGroup.
I would expect service to return MutateResult with OperationAccessDenied
error in errorList - behaviour similar to other services. What I am getting
instead is an MutateResult with no errors and result set to AdGroupCriterion
(instead of 1BiddableAdGroupCriterion`!) which is not populated with any
values.

Does anyone else noticed same behaviour?
I hope this is not an expected behaviour but rather a bug. Returning
OperationAccessDenied.OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_REMOVED_ENTITY would be
much better and more consistent with other services.

Regards,

Mariusz

The reason you cannot use Inglewood as a LocationSearchParameter is because
its Target Type is Neighborhood, which is not supported by this search

Re: Error during product partition creation

2015-10-30 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

I noticed that your request is operating on two ad groups but you are
reusing the same temporary ID for both. I would recommend using distinct
temporary IDs for distinct *Biddable/NegativeAdGroupCriterion* within a
single request.

Also, in each case you are constructing what looks like an invalid product
partition tree
,
consisting of:

 ROOT (-1 biddable SUBDIVISION)
/
  ProductOfferId (negative UNIT)

It looks like you are trying to create a 2nd level of the tree that
excludes *everything*, since you don't have other UNIT nodes at that level
and the object is a *NegativeAdGroupCriterion*. If you subdivide the tree
by a dimension (offer ID in this case), you must have at least *two* UNIT
nodes: one for "Everything else" (*ProductOfferId* with a null value) and
at least one for a specific *ProductOfferId* with a non-null value.
Otherwise, the subdivision does not serve any purpose.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team
