Hi Umesh,
I also saw this case. But I created Client ID and ClientSecret key. And
then I refresh token and call the API. But this issues still do not
resolve. I attach file xml SOAP XML request and response. Please check it
for me.

Let me share one suspicion I have : This is an async call in the AdWords

there's some network issue, the asynch call never returns.

ReportUtilities hangs in .NET C# code

2016-01-13 Thread PPC Developer
Hi,

I saw another issue regarding this but the problem is still there for long
running server scenarios. I'm pasting the code below, where the server is
trying to download a report from AdWords in an infinite loop.

The below code is executed multiple times in a larger loop, it traverses
all accounts, all campaigns, etc...It works, until it eventually hangs. No
exceptions are thrown.

When I break into the code in Visual Studio, it's waiting for the
highlighted line to execute. This call also doesn't time out.

Note that while it's undeterministic when it'll finally hang, but
eventually it does. Your help is appreciated.

code below:

int downloadAttempts = 1;
while (true)
{
try
{

ReportUtilities utilities = new ReportUtilities(user,
"v201506", definition);
*using (Google.Api.Ads.Common.Util.Reports.ReportResponse
response = utilities.GetResponse())*
{
response.Save(saveFileName);
retval = new FileStream(saveFileName,FileMode.Open);
}
break;

}
catch (Exception ex)
{
string errMessage = ex.Message;
if (ex.InnerException != null)
errMessage = errMessage + ex.InnerException.Message;
Console.WriteLine("Attempt:{0}. Failed to download report.{1}",
downloadAttempts, errMessage);
downloadAttempts++;
// return retval;
//throw new
System.ApplicationException("Failed to download report.", ex);

AND NOT in Rule-based User Lists for Remarketing

2016-01-13 Thread Ezequiel Murillo
Hello,

I'm creating User Lists for remarketing using the API. I understand that
the lists in the UI and the API have a different underlying logic.
I've already
read:
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/rule-based-remarketing

In the API a RuleItemGroup array will AND the RulesItems in the array and
then the Rule will OR all the RuleItemGroups. Is there a way here to AND
NOT a rule?

Maybe I can do that using a LogicalUserList combining a List that's a
Negative Criterion but that seems more complicated.

Thanks!
Ezequiel

How to delete audience assignments in account

2016-01-13 Thread Julia Garibaldi
Hi guys,

We have audiences assignments to adgroups in one of our AdWords account.
Some of the adgroups were deleted, but the audience assignments were not.
When we try to delete these deprecated audience assignments, either by
using the API or the AdWords console, we get error messages.
How can we delete audience assignments whose adgroups were deleted
previously?
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Uniqueness of CampaignName

2016-01-13 Thread Alan Coleman
Hi Mark,

You'd probably be better off identifying a Campaign by its ID, then there's
no ambiguity. Also, if your campaign name changes in the GUI, any AdWords
application that uses that name probably will cease to identify it.

Shown here in the Campaign Remove example.

```
function RemoveCampaignExample(AdWordsUser $user, $campaignId) {
  // Get the service, which loads the required classes.
  $campaignService = $user->GetService('CampaignService', ADWORDS_VERSION);
  // Create campaign with REMOVED status.
  $campaign = new Campaign();
  $campaign->id = $campaignId;
  $campaign->status = 'REMOVED';
```

Thanks

UserList listType is null

2016-01-13 Thread mm
Hey guys -
I'm just starting to familiarize myself with UserLists & to that end, the
first thing I did was just retrieve all UserLists for a couple of accounts
& print out all their attributes. I had a significant number of instances
returned with a null listType and the UserListType set to "User List". Is
this expected? If so, what are these and why don't they have a specific
list type? This is using the java client (2.7.0).

Thanks a bunch -

Campaign names are unique to the account, so when querying campaign names,
you should only get 1 campaign returned. As far as I know, there is no

Uniqueness of CampaignName

2016-01-13 Thread Mark Hansen
Is the field CampaignName
(https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/campaign-performance-report#campaignname)

in the Campaign Performance Report unique?

Specifically, can I use it in a query to uniquely identify a campaign, or
might I get more than one result back?

Finally, how can I tell from the documentation whether or no a report field
is a unique identifier?

Thanks,

Mark

Re: [RateExceededError ]

2016-01-13 Thread Michael Cloonan (AdWords API Team)
Hello,

There was actually an error in the way we counted operations for basic
access users that was fixed last week, which caused many users to begin
encountering this error when doing the same thing they'd been doing all
along. To get around this, you should apply for standard access as Anthony
mentioned.

However, we are aware that this abrupt change is breaking many people's
established workflows, so we are investigating why this change occurred
without warning and seeing if we can get it rolled back in the short term
so that users can have time to adjust to the changes.

Regards,
Mike, AdWords API Team

Is it possible to set custom parameters by keyword via the API?

2016-01-13 Thread Rich K.
I'm trying to utilize the API to set the custom parameter field on specific
keywords. It looks like it is easy to set this field at a campaign and
adgroup level but I do not see a way to set it for a specific keyword. I
know it is possible to do through the AdWords UI. I am attempting to do
this in C# using the 201509 API version. Any assistance with this question
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rich

PHP AdGroupService not returning my adGroups?

2016-01-13 Thread bobreviewsio
I'm new to using adWords and the API, I'm using code based on the PHP
examples and some Test accounts.

I've been able to do most of the things I need to do except the API will
not return my adGroups.

API response looks like: AdGroupPage Object ( [entries] =>
[totalNumEntries] => 0 [PageType] => AdGroupPage
[_parameterMap:Page:private] => Array ( [Page.Type] => PageType )

I retrieve my campaigns and loop through them and try to get the adGroups
from each one, something like this:

foreach ($campaigns->entries as $campaign) {
  $adGroupService = $user->GetService('AdGroupService', ADWORDS_VERSION);

  // Create selector.
  $selector = new Selector();
  $selector->fields = array('Id', 'Name');
  $selector->ordering[] = new OrderBy('Name', 'ASCENDING');

  // Create predicates.
  $selector->predicates[] =
  new Predicate('CampaignId', 'IN', array($campaign->id));

  // Create paging controls.
  $selector->paging = new Paging(0,
AdWordsConstants::RECOMMENDED_PAGE_SIZE);

  $result = $adGroupService->get($selector);
}

I've tried removing the campaignId feature (i'd expect this to return all
adGroups from the account?) but that also returns nothing. Is there
something I need to do to the account or groups before the api will return
them?

Thanks

Re: [RateExceededError ]

2016-01-13 Thread Ulaş Yılmaz
Hi Anthony,

Thank you for the answer.

Obviously, That is an information I have already encountered in my search
on what might have happened.
What I also want to understand is why this happened after using the basic
account for over millions of updates.

Functions mutate and mutateLabel had been working fine until a couple of
days; they were being used regularly every day for over 10K updates thru
basic account.
On our part, we have changed nothing in our scripts, nor in our Adwords
membership.
Why might have these functions stopped all of a sudden?
How can I get more information on that?

Regards,
Ulas Yilmaz
