Re: Gender, Age and Device together in one report

2016-01-14 Thread Anthony Madrigal
Hi Jesus,

Unfortunately, there is no way to combine both age and gender criteria in a
single report. You can run the Age Performance Report

 and Gender Performance Report

 respectively.
Both reports contain AdGroupId and Device fields.

Cheers,
Anthony

Could you please provide the TargetingIdeaService SOAP XML request and

Hello,

You could apply for the developer token by login to your manager account (MCC).
If you don't have a manager account
 then please create it
and apply for developer token. The developer token

is
needed to make the AdWords API call. Please check out getting started guide

for
more details.

 Hello,

 When I use the GoogleAdWords API I can generate keyword suggestions for
 a website. When I try to do the same via the API the suggestions differ a
 lot.

 In my tests I used the website "http://php.net;.
 The UI will return the following suggestions:

- hosting
- webhosting
- website hosting
- dedicated server
- vps hosting

 This while the API request returns:

- new extensions
- downloads windows
- php performance test
- php scripting
- rc-6

 I've read several topics about this, but they all seem to indicate
 differences between the settings in the UI and in the API request.

 I have made a picture of my UI configuration:

 My parameters in the (Python) code are:
 language_criteria_id = 1010 # Dutch
 url = 'http://php.net'

 {
 'searchParameters': [
 {
 'xsi_type': 'RelatedToUrlSearchParameter',
 'urls': [url]
 },
 {
 'xsi_type': 'LanguageSearchParameter',
 'languages': [{'xsi_type': 'Language', 'id':
 language_criteria_id}]
 },
 {
 'xsi_type': 'NetworkSearchParameter',
 'networkSetting': [{
 'targetGoogleSearch': True,
 'targetSearchNetwork': False,
 'targetContentNetwork': False,
 'targetPartnerSearchNetwork': False
 }]
 }
 ],
 'ideaType': 'KEYWORD',
 'requestType': 'IDEAS',
 'requestedAttributeTypes': ['KEYWORD_TEXT'],
 'paging': {
 'startIndex': 0,
 'numberResults': 10
 }
 }

 I have tried different combinations of network settings, but whatever I
 do I cannot reproduce the same results as seen in the UI.

 Does anyone know what is going on?

Getting UNEXPECTED_INTERNAL_API_ERROR for TargetingIdeaService

Hello,

for the last three days I've been getting

AdwordsApi::V201506::TargetingIdeaService::ApiException -
[InternalApiError.UNEXPECTED_INTERNAL_API_ERROR @

for every API request. Is there anything I can do about this or just wait
for a miracle? As it's internal API error, I assume I can't do anything
about it or am I?

Thanks for every suggestion.

The adwords account is linked to the Analytics account and Adwords report

Query Regarding Targeting specific CriterionUserInterest (interests and remarketing) - Positive campaign targeting

2016-01-14 Thread sheron
Hi,

I am using google ad words API(PHP) for running campaigns on Google Display
Network.
I can't see any way to target* CriterionUserInterest (interests and
remarketing)*.
Although I can do negative campaign targeting for the same by setting
*userInterestId* (i.e. excluding what all interests not to target) but that
won't allow me to run the campaign as it shows *Weekly available
impressions equal to none.*

For running on display network, you need to choose user interests but I
can't figure out how to explicitly target on specific interests like
Sports Fans(90200), Music Lovers(91900) or all the available interests
(across all categories) using Adwords API

I will appreciate immediate help or some pointers on this (I have already
gone through the available documentation).

 Hello,

 Unfortunately, since your screenshot is in Dutch, it is very difficult
 for me to comprehend it to compare the settings to those set on the API.
 However, with identical settings, in theory the two should produce
 identical results, so I urge you to double-check that everything is the
 same.

 One section of our Targeting Ideas guide is about mapping to the

 so hopefully this helps.

"AutomaticContent" in keyword performance report

2016-01-14 Thread Tiana S.
A while ago I asked a question about the Content keyword that's returned in
the Keyword performance report, and heard that it indicates that the stats
are from clicks generated on the Google Content Network. I now see a
keyword "AutomaticContent" returned in the same report, but can't find
anything on this. What does this keyword indicate?

Thanks,

Tiana

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for providing the request and response logs. The NOT_ADS_USER

 error
indicates that the login used to generate the access token is not
associated with any AdWords account. The common reason may be the login
information provided corresponds to a Google account that does not have
AdWords enabled. Please make sure you log in with valid AdWords

Thanks,

Re: How to delete audience assignments in account

2016-01-14 Thread Julia Garibaldi
Hi Anthony,

Thanks a lot for your answer!
We're not trying to delete the user list: what we're trying to do is to
remove the user list assignmnent from an adgroup. Hence, we cannot close
the user list because it's also assigned to another adgroups.
We need to delete the user list assignment from a deleted adgroup. The
assignment status in the AdWords console is shown as "Ad Group Removed".
When we try to delete this assignment using the AdWords console, we get an
error message:

[image: Inline image 2]

Is there any way to remove the user list assignment that points to a
deleted adgroup?
Thanks again!!

Clarification on getting campaign data when authorized as a MCC account

2016-01-14 Thread Tyler Jones
I have a quick question regarding getting campaign data when the user
authorizes using a MCC account. Suppose the account hierarchy looks like so
(taken from the official docs):

Root MA 1
|   |
Sub MA 2 Sub MA 3
|  |  |
A  B  C

If I want to get all of the campaigns under Root MA 1 (from my
understanding that the campaigns are actually associated with Clients A, B,
and C) I need to iterate through the list of linked accounts under Root MA
1 and initialize services with respect to those 3 client IDs, and then pull
the campaign data that way. In other words, when authorizing as a manager
account, do you have to drill down to the Clients themselves to get the IDs
and make calls using those IDs, or is it possible to use the Root MA
account ID somehow? Please let me know if my question is not that clear :)
